3:25 – On this graph the 'Core Ultra 5 285K' label is incorrect. It should read 'Core Ultra 9 285K'.
Why did you remove the good thumbnail?
Everything is good but the price ! +_+
AMD Yes🎉
9800x3D is the godfather for AI
nice chips but thermals while gaming is a little concerning, with a 360aio those temps i expected to be lower than my 14700k but it doesnt, interesting take one that.
0:47 wtf😂
i can never get enough of Denis 🤤
I have to hand it to you Linus, every other tester lost focus of real world results and performance, this is the only review that isn't focused on maximum bottleneck scenarios that no real user would ever encounter, and instead focuses on what people actually use their CPU for.
Great visuals on the graphs now! Easy to follow.
If difference in price (tax included in both ) is 100€ what is better deal 9800X3d at 630€ or 7800X3d at 530€ ? Or just go with 7600 for 230€, and wait for 10000 cpu's in couple of years ? It will be paired with 4070 dual in small micro-atx case. ❤
14900k is both cheaper and stronger
I’m on the AM4 platform built my first PC last December. I now know the difference between AM4 and AM5 and don’t have the funds to upgrade my mistake. Good times PC runs good enough though
This video bombed hard?!? Bad thumbnail and LTT not being know anymore for "front line/1st to go to" of testing, More entertainment than solid actual review.
that is insane an actual generational uplift diference on a new CPU? IN 2024. WHAT?
Sorry to say but, High FPS is not the point of this CPU. Low FPS is the benefit of this CPU you should look at. For example games with a high amount of "Entities" will benefit a hack of a lot from extra cache. Look for Games with High amounts of Entities Rendering please!
His hair! Omg is that a natural colour?
BRO LAY OFF THE JUICE. WE ALLLLLL SSEE IT. ITS NOT OK
Reckon I'll just wait until Socket AM6, my 5700X3D should be fine until the next console generation rolls around
Can you give me it
hold ur horses boy 9950X3D will rule them all
The thumbnail is cursed, but i still clicked because Linus was on the right.
Mehhh majority like me dont care.. as long asvincan gane atba decent fps
Why no 4k reviews ?? Those buying w 4090 don't play AAA titles in 1080p… Get real.. unless AMD is paying you to only show 1080p results?
Why no 7950x3D?
Careful before they roast you like pcmag^^
On the other hand there ARE games that greatly profit from this, they are just not mainstream enough to get featured on these benchmarks, like KSP, MSFS, Factorio, WoW.. those games generally have a performance problem without x3d
And you might not need to upgrade as soon, but from my experience these CPUs die within 2 years of heavy use anyway
Thanks for showing that cheaper upgrades (5700X3D/5800X3d) are probably good enough for anyone already on AM4 and gaming at 1440p or 4k.
I never thought that a CPU upgrade to the 9000 series would be more useful to me for Stellaris than for a AAA game, but it looks like it will be.
6:25 – LTT you start to add “random pick” games to put in benchmarks going forward? For example, I play DayZ (yes it’s not the most optimized game) but since they updated to 1.26 last month and there’s now an “extreme” draw distance option. I used to be able to get 90-120fps+ on extreme, now it’s 50-120fps. This is with a 3080 Ti & 5800x non 3D – I just want to see different games that are kinda taxing that people still play.
Dadqf is this thumbnail
I watch these for his commercials lol
Ill buy it in 3-4 years when my shiny new 58 starts showing its age#
I wonder who the people are that keep Intel alive at this point 😂
But can it run Crysis?
THANK YOU for more than just 1080p!
while i do agree with the 1080p thing but there is something that you wildly missed here, the magic word is "DLSS" aka upscaling, even if you play at 1440p/4K, you would use some kind of upscaling to boost your FPS especially in games like CP 2077, the end result will be rendering at 1080p or less based on the upscaling preset you choose, this CPU will do wonders when used in such scenarios which most gamers will do. so you can do another video showing how well this CPU performs when upscaling is in action.
The Stellaris graph was interesting, would like to see more comparisons between other Paradox games.. Victoria 3 especially.
Intel fanboys and AMD haters can eat their own words of ''AMD never being better than Intel'' thing they spoke about since Phenom 2 days
08:42 what is he doing? lol xD
