Thumbs up for listening to Metallica to wake up!
There is one thing I don't get with all your automations: What happens if your day is totally different from a normal day?
Like, school ends earlier than usual? Or other stuff which possibly messes up time triggered automations?
How do you handle this?
For us, every day is different, as work/school is very dynamic. We have to get up at different times, we are not at home at the same time or for the whole day, …
So I'm looking for ideas/inspirations how I could possibly solve this problem with my automations. (heating, lights, ventilation and so on)
Everything needs to be dynamically, depending on time, sunrise/sunset, who is (not) at home and whatever you can think of.
Makes it pretty complex.
WHY ARE YOU SLEEPING ON A NAKED PILLOW ?!? Where is your pillow case? Ew?! 😂
Thanks for sharing!! Love all the inspiration
You act like you do everything in the house. That’s not how it should be. Put your wife to work!
What the f, you are talking no as a robot in german…😂
I'm impressed and I got a handful of ideas for my HA journey. Thanks for the videos! . Btw, which lock are you using in the studio/office door? Thanks!
It’s all amazing until it’s not. No connection, no WiFi or no power…
He Reed you seem to have an auto translation of your voice in German language. That sounds completely wired and not like you. Also the translation is not as good as the original… In my opinion you can skip this kind of extra work. Greetings from the Rheinland.
Now it’s getting hot in australia
@smartHomeSolver Love your channel and learning so many new things from you. I have few questions for you. I am going to invest in a HA Green and Skyconnect as per your recommendation in an earlier video from you. Maybe a overkill for me with the limited smart devices i have. But have to start somewhere 😉 1 : I have a samsung tv with phillips hue sync app on the tv itself. Can the activation of the app when the tv is on be controlled by HA ? 2: Can i control the samsung tv with HA its a 2024 oled model (s95d) 3: Amazone echo speakers can be used with ha and can you can call each other in the same household through them which you also showed at one point . Though with security/ trying to sell something always through amazon and alexa always listening would you remommend them in a household . echo normal version or the small enho dots ? Thanks in advance and hope that you will take some time to answer my questions.
The link to the floor mat isn't very helpful/wrong. Is there a link to actually buy the mat?
Automate cleaning the toilet
hindi dubb is terrible.
How did you get the alarm entities onto HA? I tried playing around with iOS shortcuts, but not seeing the entities at all.
This sounds overwhelming
Whats your smart door on office? And how do you integrate lockly lock?
What voice assistant are you using in the shower automation?
Hello Reid, what is the name and model of the universal remote you used in this video?
OMG, this is the house of future
What’s your smart lock for the entry door? Can it tell who opened the door, so that you can do automations based on that?
What internet provider do you use?
Que top áudio em português..
Great way to transport the kids.
Healthy snacks aka E. coli carrots
Oh Hai Paul Hibbert. 😀
Thanks Reed.

Your videos give me inspiration… I’m starting to get into the rabbit hole for smart lighting, trying to figure out what hub/bulbs/switches to go with… I think I remember you have videos here and there where you say which ones you like
I think Philips hue bridge but go with ikea bulbs…the switches though are confusing … what I really want to automate are the outdoor lights
Phoenix Suns!
Have you tried the Homey Pro?
Love the nod to Paul Hibbert!
You need a bed shaker to wake you up! Put it between your matrice and box spring. Easy to! Bed shakers were intended for the hearing impaired but they are great as they don’t disturbed your partner as much as a radio.all you need to do is hook it up to a plug-in transformer plugged into a smart plug. Easy! I’ve yet to install new fire alarms. I’ll connect this to the bed shaker.
12:54 another automation idea!
Great ideas!
