you should add a red stripe to your background. that cable looks good there tbh
Is Linus on drugs? I'm not talking about recreational but something like Adderall? The way he speaks with such enthusiasm hour after hour and the excitement he has when he discovers an interesting thought are behaviors identical to people on those drugs. Maybe he has spoke about mental health or ADD in a previous video?
all TVs thru 80s were HARD WIRED POWER . TO INNOVATE TO RECReate to go retro to be different, to just be difficult, go AGAINST THE GRAIN.. EASIER TO DEMOLISH THAN TO CREATE.
Power cord yanking was one of the most interesting things I've seen on Youtube in a while! Thanks!
Why is the chat on Youtube so dumb?
Or you could use multiple dishes from building 1 to building 2 and have more bandwidth AND redundancy probably for less money than cabling!
love watching/listening these podcasts…… this time I leave this on background to keep voices down and distract my brain… while I try to take a nap…..YaY …. sometimes I really watch these….. sometimes even live
Apple, and other companies use the "Environmentally Friendly" argument only when it benefits them.
The Steam Deck had me really really worried about cloud gaming. Cloud gaming for me personally has never appealed to me because I only have a decently fast connection. I use Game Pass and it's amazing, but cloud gaming is…bad to an extent. I was afraid Steam Deck would turn out to be the Switch, where some people tries to port anything to it, and instead just creates a cloud service. I'm afraid that they won't put in the effort to create something compatible with UNIX, and just recodes it a bit for a cloud service (Luna, Switch, Stadia, etc.)
The Apple rant was cool but sharing a shitty wojack on Twitter is super lame
Apple being Apple again…
Apple designing throw away appliances that are priced as gold plated, not fake gold anodised desk jewellery.
Engineering is an art. Any fool can design something, but only a skilled engineer can truly fuck it up. But a good engineer would walk away from a job that demands poor design.
LTT is the reason for global parts shortage 😂
This isn't actually all that new for Apple displays. My old 30" Cinema display had a somewhat similar plug (but required disassembling the display to disconnect the internal leads), as did the 24" Cinema display.

umm, bacon, scifi and gaming!
The fact that the stand itself requires $400 just to be functional is an insult. But where do I begin with the litany of things they do? They have more cash liquidity than any other company and I am so tired of them bragging about their innovation when it was customers screaming that got them to return the mag safe. I remember when the iPad came out and I was screaming at the top of my lungs regarding why I didn’t have trackpad or mouse capabilities just as I am confused why the people who innovative touchscreens won’t do the same for their MacBooks and monitors. When I saw the surface used not a weak operating system but could actually use Windows and all related software I am still confounded as to why the iPad can’t even multitask? I am wondering why they can’t have upgradable storage on iPhones since they advertise them as 4K cinematography devices! All they need is an SD card slot can anybody tell me why they don’t have that capacity? Is there any way to communicate to this company that they’re planned obsolescence is ruining the world? One day I would love it to say the iPhone is manufactured in the United States of America. Did the pandemic teach us nothing or could we just say it’s national security issue if all of our semi conductors or bad by our adversary or in Taiwan? Can we just make stuff in America like antibiotics and when is the PlayStation five ever going to ship? PS the electricity in the house I live in has an antiquated system it just having a space heater would lead to many power outs and changing of fuses so I thought Apple’s new M1 chips would be a better way to go about getting performance rather than Nvidia and Intel drawing massive power. I realize things might get better in the future but I want to be able to buy a computer now that I don’t have to upgrade every three years. Remember in Ferris Bueller‘s Day off when he says he got a computer while his sister got a car? For some of us getting a really powerful computer is a serious investment but for Apple it seems like it’s a product were supposed to change in two year cycles.
Omg! Finally I have found somebody that understands my frustrations with Apple! I just discovered this channel and I’ve only been through a few videos but it feels amazing that other people get the frustration I feel. I have had an apple 2E and have remained loyal to Apple over all of these different years. I have been wanting to leave the ecosystem but having an iPad and iPhone and so on, inertia has kept me here. I am curious what viewers might suggest I should do in terms of upgrading my computer because I was waiting for the 27 inch iMac to come out this Studio nine cents and the $1600 monitor that doesn’t even have anything beyond 60 Hz is an insult. I am so tired of the lack of modularity and I just want to make great things. I just finished an MIT cyber security certificate but I’m thinking of VR development and applications with machine learning. Should I get a PC and adjust to that whole world? I am really blown away by the unreal engine five and theoretically apples new thermal architecture should be a breakthrough for leveraging GPU power but as another video here demonstrates Apple could care less about consumers, professional creators, and they seem to cater to people who will buy all of their products with no consideration to upgradeability or cost. I think we need to create content that is platform independent. If anybody has any suggestions let me know because technology is always changing but I’m not rich and I would like to buy a really superb machine that can do anything from high-level graphics to development and coding. Do I give up on Apple? What do you think the best platform will be for artificial intelligence, VR development, editing, and cyber security work?
@linus, you've literally had Louis Rossman in your studio. How are you still surprised that Apple does really stupid anti consumer bullshit?
Remember, Apple is a cult. The cult members have turned their free will over to Steve Jobs. They will not complain about anything Apple does.
I have a similar problem to the Apple system. The ASUS PN-51 with Ryzen 7 claims to support 1 M2.NVMe SSD and one SATA 2½" SSD. But ASUS claims that they have limited the SSDs to 1 TB each. I cannot get the real spec from ASUS. I also cannot afford to just buy one and hope it works. Will a Corsair MP400 8TB NVMe PCIe M.2 SSD work? Will a 16.0TB OWC MERCURY ENTERPRISE PRO 2.5-inch 7mm SATA SSD work? I can think of no engineering reason to limit the size of the SSDs. Please help.
Gee, thanks for mentioning newpipe, now they will take it down as well.
when you want to quick tell someone about this video – linus is angry about stupidity of apple 😀
No oc on X3Ds voltage? Who cares? IF and memory OC are all that matters. Look if RandomX miners don't care, why should gamers? If it doesn't effect the bottom lines of people making pennies of profit you wont notice it in games.
The good thing about this is that louis Rossman and LTT both have such a big community and range that at some point, the mass will go "f*ck every single one of you consumer abusive companies" and they will have to stop being worthless maggots or they will do bankrupt.
Only the companies that have a actual good intend for nature and their customers and stick with it shall survive
Shocker that the company that brought us $699 furniture wheels is trying to rip people off
