Odd, I've watched the Wan show for years and the algorithm would always recommend it to me each week as the first displayed video. Last few weeks I've had to go and manually hunt for it.
These dips in the industry are always cyclical. LMG just has to tough it out, and in 12 years things might be better than ever.
1:19:30 aspirational has transitioned into unattainable.
1:28:10'ish, top gear when they existed is the only successfully able to review products (super cars) that was way out of league for the viewers … and that came down to the presenters, the products aren't enough to drive the same hype about the show, but replicating that is something every one is striving for. But i think thats the only way to successfully doing this.
Yacht fuel burn could be over 1000 litres per hour at 18 knots.
Everything beardy and Noddy said about crypto is wrong, and also illegal. Dan is not wrong but not an exceptional description at all.
There is no way to launch ethically (according to you) except testnet.
Now 7900XTX, RTX4070 Ti Super etc are selling/sold out from my usual retailers. Some people are realising you can flash vBIOs from higher power limit Asus 4070 Ti Super Strix OC into 4070Ti Supers, small OC then brings it to 5% near 4080 Super because same architecture and memory without any problems, turning them into around 360W TDP cards. 3D Mark results website showing people doing this. Used RTX 4070 Ti Supers in my local bin shops going for £400-500. Went back to the shop next day with 3 friends and they all bought them, I flashed them all and all 3D Mark Speed Way scores are 7200 to 7300 and average 4080 score on 3D mark is 7400. Madness. Only because 4070 ti supers have very similar memory spec as 4080. Goes to show just a small OC and small uplift but Nvidia putting big price jumps in between. It is like they want 200 bucks per 15% uplift.
So american border problems is why me in sweden has been waiting for a month and a half for my commuter backpack?
For me, I really like Strange Parts, and that's only a dude and a small team. It would be interesting to go in a similar direction and see what you could do with your larger budget and team.
Hey Linus, since you're so addicted to comments, I decided to drop this one compelling you to stop reading comments for as long as it takes you to kiss your wife and hug your kids.
The tech news I used to love were the Geforce vs ATI or AMD vs INTEL and where they were going, like I remember AMD Athlon being THE cpu for gamers but then Intel suddenly pulled an uno reversal with the dual core and then the I3/5/7 series.
Now I prefer the ESP32/arduino tech (and for example getting them discovered by a home assistant server) and a homelab setup made from old optiplexes 😀
With the threats being made, it'll probably be a good plan to get anything from the far east side of the border (EU) xD
Battleship America out here putting stress on their Allies. Hopful they keep the Tarrifs off as it would be devastating.
just do more scrapyardwars, whole house watercooling, multiuser gaming pc's, do the stuff that we dream of doing but cant due to various reasons, nobody wants to see reviews anymore, do fun janky stuff thats going to break in a minute, oh, here is an idea, scrapyard wars, you both get a 100$ and need to flip stuff to make money so you can build a decent pc, even build pc's to flip them to afford a better one, have a timelimit, week or month or whatever and see who can make a better pc
Its time to pick up shop and move to California or Texas
The company i work for had 70 units cancelled. each at $300K. huge hit
Noddy makes a good point, he is terrifying
Replacing "coin" with "token" really simplifies the whole ordeal. None of those have any inherent value. So whether there's an earning mechanism or there's a million zubbi tokens created at once as a smart contract makes no difference whatsoever,. And one isn't any holier than the next. 1 bitcoin might "cost" 200k, but it is also tradeable for shitcoins. Speculation and profiteering is all there is to it.
CS skins have a more stable and predictable market than crypto. And can also be traded for crypto. And that is how money laun… All fair and square, safe from BlackRock.
I feel like AMD has decided that they will let the low end be served by older generation mid tier chips rather than new gen Ryzen 3. And I am not sure that is a bad decision for their customers (would need more data to confirm though) with how long they are supporting their socket platforms.
Collab with Greg Doucette, Jeff nippard or Will Tenyson…
3 fitness channels, and get Luke and Linus jacked…. That's the new direction of the channel.
The usual yacht running cost estimate is 10% of the new price per annum.
Any boat over about 100 feet requires a commercially qualified captain.
I think of ltt as a Mix of tech reviews and "big tech projects". Would definitely keep the things that are unaitanable for most but have unique challanges. But maybe a Series of "200 (or 500) Dollar tech Upgrades" about small tech that can improve the life of "normal people"…. I definitely watch something about home/life improvements.
