you can use mullvad vpn along with tailscale, just have to pay 5 dollars for the subscription, it is basically doing the same thing which has been shown in the video. The reason it might be good option is that because the public IP's of these mullvad servers might not be blocked, usually public IP's of proper VPS provider like Linode/ digital occean are blocked or blacklisted.

TBH I wish theres was just a tor option for PC. Like not the browser the full system version.
I'm a little disappointed as I expected a video on a home VPN, so that I can access my own Netflix library when traveling for example. I guess "personal VPN" can mean different things.
im using aws free trial which lasts a year so my vpn is basically free, works like a charm, maybe should've chosen a closer region though.
Or even easier still, just don't have streaming services ! Easy!!!!! :).

Outline VPN is another normier friendlier DYI VPN option. There is also a video from @WolfgangsChannel with wireguard setup script that is a little bit more technical but also very easy.
I prefer zerotier over Tailscale because supposed redundancy if the provider server goes down and ability to not host your own controller avoiding provider pricing me out.
Note. Google is not your friend as that browser will straight up refuse to show anything useful regarding this. You need to look for alternatives.
Ich glaube das Problem ist man ist auf einen bestimmten Standort festgelegt also nicht wirklich praktikabel beim Reisen da der Ping sehr lange dauert wen ich z.b in China bin und mich mit einem Server in den USA verbinde.Wen ich einen vpb von einen Anbieter haben kann man wechseln wen ich in China bin kann ich mich z.b mit Mongolei verbinden was einen viel bessere Geschwindigkeit hat
Isn't level 1 to just use tor? Free but slow.

I use tailscale to access my media files anywhere in the world on my mobile devices. You need a very fast connection to make anything watchable.
