Linus should switch to Microsoft Office365 and Outlook like any mature corporation. Google drive and gmail are targeted for housewives, nobody uses them for work.
i love how macos and windows are evolving into the same direction. its almost like the real devs behind the system are trying to convince us to install linux everywhere, be it a computer, smart tv, wifi router, smart watch, microwave, doorbell, and swimming pool
I hate when you click "Update and Shutdown" on Windows and it always does Update and restart… as if I wanted to wait 20 minutes before being able to shut down my PC properly.
Using Windows 11 has never made me want to switch to linux more.
Trialing some OS's on my laptop, converted to linux available open source software I daily drive for when I switch to linux, I'm golden.
Just need to finish Red Dead Redemption 2 before the switch to Linux, because, well, you know why…
I was promised 17 minutes but only got 16 minutes 58 seconds.
At the moment I hate that when I pause a video to take a closer look at something on my phone. It zooms OUT and uses that extra space I apparently didn't need to load an add.
Another thing, is typing out a comment, and as soon as you do, an ad plays.
So you have to abort typing, to skip ad, or quickly type it before the ad finishes, because if you don't, it just deletes and wipes everything you were typing.
Yes who would have thought, showing me ads was more important to YouTube, than me saying my 2 cents
To Jakes part. There is a great program to send data from iPhone to Windows. It is called Intel unison
A tool I can totally recommend is "Bluetooth battery monitor"; It adds a little widget in the taskbar, that shows you the battery percentage of your bluetooth devices.

I work in tech with people who work in tech, and even aware of AI hallucinations, THEY just read Google's top AI answer like a good little Googler. I can't understand how one knowingly allows themselves to potentially ingest completely incorrect information, but they do, and that's half the problem.
My annoyance is Win11 Calendar (month view) is merged with Notification. So you choose if you want to see only 3 notification with calendar open or collapse it into long format datetime.
The worst thing with windows currently is when you have two monitors with different resolutions. Applications open randomly on one monitor or the other, there is no logic behind that…

I just head to recent 'C:UsersofferAppDataRoamingMicrosoftWindowsRecent' and copy the settings shortcuts & save them on the Desktop, I gave up navigating the Settings mess.
The folder size plugin is all I use WinHawk for, beyond me why Explorer still only supports this via hovering rather than just showing the value as it knows when selecting sort by size within a folder.
My Vanguard crashed twice during shader compilation after not running the game for a few months, did a scan & repair via the Blizzard launcher and upon launching the game for a third time I was greeted with a popup stating my account was banned, in under 10m from requesting an appeal, it was immediately rejected and received the same copy/paste follow up email stating I allegedly was using an unauthorized program & had apparently modified game data, an absolute fkn joke.
Lastly, I just used ublock to remove the A.I. response, I'm aware you can apparently change this under your google account settings but my ublock method was way faster than finding another buried toggle.
My daily drivers are macs, for gaming I have an ROG Ally running Windows 11. For everything else I just reinstalled an older Asus (8th gen i5) laptop with Linux Mint. Becuase I just cannot live with Windows anymore. 10, fine. 11? Absolutely not. I hope they fix some of it in 12. At least before the old version would still work before the new version came out…

How is windows start menu not in a video like this ? It gradually lost most of its good functionality over the years, and now functions more like an advertisement and user annoyance center.

About the file transferring part, I just install kde connect on the devices I need to use cross-platform, window have an app to connect window with mobile phone but it access capability is so limited.
There's an option in macos to remove the gap when snapping windows. Why they chose to not set it as default is beyond me.

You missed out on an obvious one, windows 11 alerts/notifications are useless, furthermore what used to be time/calendar from the taskbar no longer works. Power plan rainmeter gadget additions does help that problem.
the green leaf thing is worse coming from a canadian considering Alberta basically funds the budget.
