  1. After the stream ended, we were curious what we could achieve with our Memory and if we simply needed to be more patient for Memory Training. After about 25-30 minutes of waiting we were able to get a stable system with 256GB of RAM (4X64GB) at 5200MT/s. Pretty Impressive!

  2. I have my I-9 14900K stable with 192 GB of RAM running at 5400

  3. Yeah I had a 1950x Red ripper for my first editing rig. Other than memory issues it was amazing until I realized I could not edit long GOP video files very well anymore.

  4. Actually the issue is probably Adobe premiere and Intel's instability issues with their 13 and 14th gen. I have a 14900K and had to get my CPU replaced from Intel.

I spend $5,000 on an editing rig and put myself in debt to just rebuild the PC 7 times last year. Took all the steam out of my video production business and literally crippled me financially.

I am not going down without a fight!

  5. 700$ mobo but still no 10g ethernet. 👽

  6. Dammmmm. That 5080 looks like a SUV….

  7. On a side a note, those live "hiccups" are what make a professional production feels genuine in the end. And that's so important. Keep them !

  8. Look at that astral gpu chonk sag…. OMG!

  9. Anotther video with Asus parts after big anouncement, that LTT will never work with Asus again. And thumbnail removed Asus logo, that has been there, when live video started. Yup, Louis was right all along

  10. Running out of content ideas… PC builds, seriously? Shit is so 10yrs old

  11. 28:22 Editing on Windows vs Mac

  12. The apple refurbs aren't typically defective returns, they're "change of mind" returns– I almost exclusively buy refurbs now.

  13. every amd ryzen 9 9950x on amazon is with ryzenset which has intergrated gpu and i dont like that. i was wondering if amazon listing is wrong and this cpu has no intergrated gpu because those are the only ones available. can somone clarify this for me please?

  14. Do you guys have the ad frequency turned up to the absolute maximum or something? Just curious because 17 minutes into the vod and I’ve already gotten served 5 different ad breaks. I’m getting an ad break like every ~4 minutes. Seems quite excessive…

  15. What about the new AMD 32gb graphics cards ?

  16. Just pointing out that Aluminium is actually cheap, less than 3$ per kilogram, so these heat sinks cost them like 5$ to make per motherboard.

  17. Linus stop reading comments.
Turn off your phone and be in the moment for an hour or two.

  18. still no give away huh linus

  19. 1:38:34 Presactly! Dan got it right the first try 🤣

  20. Performance aside, I would consider the Mac will also strugle network wise right? They don't have 10G links as far as I recal..

  21. Favorite scene, 'Wait we need 5090's?!!! Oh crap, OH CRAP!!!'

  22. I’m sad the ram is not linked in below 😢 and even the listing ads for the board only advertise 196gb capacity, which is different from what Linus stated 🫣

  23. Games Industry became a platform for messaging. This is one reason they took kids right from school and were able to further impress certain ideals upon them. Concord (and many others) flopped hard because nobody on any side of any aisle wants that kind of BS when it's downtime.

We need creators focussed on fun and games rather than impressing their morals onto everyone else, so corporations focussed back on making what the customer wants would be a start.

  24. Wasn't impressed with the PSU as all the wires were individual and looked untidy even after did the wire management, PSU's i find funny though as maybe around 10+ years ago i invested in a Be Quiet Dark Power 1000w and it is like the other companies have finally caught up, fair enough it wasn't fully modular as still had the one cable always connected but at the time all other PSU's looked like they had a car wiring loom hanging out of them. The PSU is still in full working order and still runs silently.
The Graphics card i do not like either as to me the size will have many people who want one with no other option but to change thier case as has no way of fitting, unless of course like me already purchased a Full Tower Case [Sahara P35] which without measuring one would more or less look lost and may even be enough space to fit two. The sagging down at one end, older cards did this and why ended up with strengthened slots but still a problem when newer cards are still drooping and the supports you get i feel take away something from the general look.
Finally I cannot believe how bad Cyberpunk looks, no part of it looked smooth and like steering a vehicle around in early versions of GTA. [This could be down to i am too used to Assetto Corsa on high specs.]

  25. 10:21 P5 don't have dram caches but they can use system memory. so close enough

  26. Thank you so much for this video. Very instructive.

  27. if my company made me use a Mac, Id quit. No exaggeration.

  28. The only thing that doesn't make this feel like a normal video is no music. That also gives us the option to use out own music, adjust the volume itself and choose any song.

  29. I've only actually been watching Linus for a couple of years. I've seen him forget to post the machine before putting the cover on twice. Both times there was a problem.

  30. Why not the Asus ProArt X870E-Creator wifi motherboard which has 10G NIC onboard.
I have choosen this board because of the 10G NIC.

  31. But can the 5080 run Roblox at a stable frame rate?

  32. why use the noctua nh15? So argeologists can find working equipement when they dig up our civilisation in a couple of 100 years.

  33. WTF. Did someone fire the sound guy? Linus just hire me or fix it please

  34. Linus dosn't have a form pre filled out at this point?

  35. 26:30 in the UK we do it for the opposite reason.

  36. It doesn't feel like I'm watching a live stream If I dont look at the time and the livechat.

  37. Most aluminium has been turned into cans which we dump in the ocean and afrika.

  38. People really need to understand that you do not need, at all, any thermal paste. You can run your PC perfectly fine, without any issue, using no thermal paste. Ever.
What thermal paste does, and that is the only thing it does, is providing more surface area for the heat sink. This is the reason you need as little as possible. Using too much thermal paste can actually hinder your performance.
Thermal paste no matter what brand and/or type, does not magically shave off some degrees. In other words, it is not the thermal paste that gets you better cooling, it is the better surface area that the thermal past gives you, that gives you better cooling.

  39. Ive never upgraded as long as some of my hardware works. if the cpu, gpu or storage borks then i get a free facebook one and run the motherboard into the ground.

  40. The constant un skippable Xfinity commercials are intolerable.

  41. if only i could afford a rig like this 🙁

  42. Huh…. Im getting 135-155 FPS on my 3960X and 6900XT in CS2… And thats with streams or YT on one of my alternate displays and my security cameras on another… And I'm playing at 4k… I have a total of 5 displays. Also their is a Linux distro for video editing.. (Video, photo and music editing / creation). its called Ubuntu Studio.

  43. If you set this LTT VOD to no mid rolls – have a chat with your YouTube rep. 30 mins in and I’m on my 4th or 5th add… and they all interrupt mid sentence.

  44. gigabye software

  45. Congrats linus password hacked! Thanks keyboard typing sound.

  46. Linus. Since you read too many comments. Where are PZ bits for the screwdriver ?!

  47. Just wanna mention. Woul dthe 3090 being x2 in SLI be the reason why it's as competitive as the 5080?

  48. Its crazy how good Linus is with the teleprompter
