The RTX 5090 is a ludicrously expensive monster of a graphics card. How good is it when it comes to 8K gaming?

Well heres the thing. Xbox advertised 8k because it can actually display 8k. Sony advertised 8k because they just love lying and have lied about graphic specs since the ps3 dropped. Just like how the original ps4 still never had 4k support.
I’m still stuck on the gtx 960🙂👍
I love you Linuxxx,💞😭
TAA and DLSS drive me crazy too.
Linus it’s like the third time you’ve talked about the older tv and display should be more of a factor in gpu reviews.
the graphical glitches you are seeing in the video is just cyberpunk running frame gen in general its a real mess
Dude
bro sli 5090 would go crazy
Those street lights aren't really DLSS issue, that is because Cyberpunk 2077 has no good motion vectors for them.
They brought back the intro??
Does any of these expensive technologies actually have a point though? I mean I see a tiny little difference, but it feels like we're only making things better by 1% with every new generation.
"8k gaming is never happening"
Anyone from 2056?
I'm still trying to run my games in 1080p Medium settings, 8k is fairytale land for me even if it wasn't D3AD
I don't understand
why the heck did they make the game settings to support 8K res with full ray tracing when no cards could run it native?
is it for like future hardware?
2k still the best resoluton for me
Well, at least we know where 20% of the 5090 stock went
As a man that still only owns a GTX760, this was great consumer advice lol
Dude wtf! 255C Hot spot GPU!!!! 15:40
First World problems. In Brazil 2 months minimum wage gets us an RTX 4060.
picture yourselves saying this in 15 years
Okay now I wanna see modded maxed-out 16x textured 8k resolution Minecraft with the 5090
8K is something I genuinely never have understood the need for… unless you have a MASSIVE screen, or sit REALLY close, you're not going to see any sort of noticeable difference above 4K (and, honestly, most 1440p content/media still looks great on most screens). Considering the MASSIVE increase in computing/storage (8K media has MASSIVE file size) needed to jump from 4K to 8K, it's completely unnecessary for the near future. Advertising a current console/PC/GPU as 8K capable is as pointless as saying that a Toyota Corolla can reach 140 mph… when you drop it out of a plane.
4k on 8k displays is happening first as you get free AA, no perf hit. But 8k is def happening. Anyone with good eyesight who has seen an 8k display will want to game on it. Its that much sharper and details really shines through.
did he leave the gpu radiator mounted like that?

Maybe I'm old school but I'm really sick and tired of relying on frame generation and DLSS just to get into the triple digits with Max graphics these days.
Linus….
Your like the most fortunate man alive… getting to test all the brand new pc tech would be a dream come true man… Awesome video keep up the awesome content.
Where does it end? 16K? 32K? SIXTY FOUR K?
I literally only care about having a smooth game play, I only have a ps5 rn but 120hz monitor and 1080p is my minimum requirement. I hate playing anything else
I belive Metro Exodus Enhanced was the first game to require ray tracing
We can only now just get 4k at high fps on native res with average graphic settings
It's hard to see the difference in the frame rates of the cyberpunk section. These types of gameplay-footage videos should be uploaded in 60fps!
That card has as much vram as my main rig system memory wtf
you should restart tomb raider after switching settings to be sure its optimal
