In your format showdown are you doing the Philips VCR tapes? Video 2000 with 8 hours of recording they were actually quite good for early 80's 🙂

We had a lot of movies on these discs growing up as well as vhs and we never had that weird static thing I see on your screen there…oh there were skips like a record but that static…I think it might be a problem with the machine rather than the disc.

Obviously he's never watched a move on a VHS tape which has been rented and watched a hundred times before you rented it.

I had no idea ced was a thing I knew a-track, cassette, Bata max, VHS , cd's, and Mini cd's
we had a RCA disk player when i was kid. probably had 50-60 movies in total and one of the stores in town had rentals as well.
Have this exact copy of blade runner
I think I donated around 300 of these a few years back
