I wonder what you would think about using a drawing tablet for gaming. Its something you actually see some people using. many osu players for example

Now you need to try to aim with a drawing tablet. I do it sometimes and trust me it's 10x easier than a ball mouse.
I get the feeling the gameball is trying to be ambidextrous, as it is symmetrical.

Suggestion 1: a regular mouse, but left handed. 2: a stylus

TRY GRAPHICS TABLETS NEXT
Back in the day in CS 1.3/1.6, I was on a CAL-im team on a Microsoft Trackball Explorer (which is another one of the designs that Ploopy has since replicated). It did require a lot of cleaning with cotton swaps and rubbing alcohol to keep it moving smoothly, probably every week or two. I also washed the ball itself off with hand soap to get rid of skin oils. Nobody believed me that I played on trackball until I'd flick it and spin around like 10 times. However, your lack of finger independence would be quite a hurdle which probably would have seen me swap to mouse sooner. I only swapped to an OG Razer Diamondback because Microsoft stopped making the Trackball Explorer and I wore the buttons and scroll wheel out. I've thought about giving the Ploopy a shot to see if I could get the muscle memory back, but they're just so expensive due to being a niche made-to-order product, and I would bet I wouldn't last a week at this point.

today i learned i have the same condition as you(same weird hands) i have always found playing shooters with a trackball easier for me, i use an elecom ex-g which has the trackball under the thumb, and the buttons are fully remappable using the elecom software.

This dude can tense his thumb and it automatically presses the left button with his index finger on a regular mouse. This means he can "shoot" in a game using only their thumb tensing on a regular mouse.
btw i too have that for my pinky and ring finger (i hate it) I cant use my pinky on a keyboard.
