@luke 49:48 I think the idea of having a base MSRP, some sort of two time data and the option to plugin a set of prices of your own is great. Say you're comparing two different levels of cards a xx70 vs 70 ti and have pricing from your own region. Further to that, an ability to select the games that factor into the testing, say I was only interested in eSports performance, I might not care that one AAA story game was negatively affecting the performance of one vendors card when in eSports they'd be the same. I know that's a big ask but that would be a dream comparison site.
Holy freaking elitist attitude Batman….
The thumbnail is obnoxious.
Can someone explain the weird finger thing he always does that’s in the thumbnail

Linus, I think it would be really interesting to see a split of the expenses too: payroll versus stuff you buy for the office/videos/etc versus stuff you pay the factories and printing shops and etc that are involved in the supply chain of your physical products. Versus whatever other expenses you have.

In terms of getting accurate 'high-low' price estimates, a friend utilized 'Scrapy' to get price information from websites, ie Wallmart, bestbuy, etc etc and it actually works really well in terms of price history.
Some of our local retailers in South Africa try to push "this price is the lowest it has ever been" – and then his site catches them out – has graphs and everything
There are some YouTubers I've seen that disclose the hard numbers from their income, but they are understandable few and far in-between. Actually expecting someone to be that transparent about something that doesn't impact you at all is bizarre.
This isn't you talking to your co-workers to see if you're being compensated properly, or wanting to keep tabs on your investment. Some people are very entitled.
My LTT bagpack also still has the old zipper thingies. I got the replacement kit but I just don't want to swap them unless they break
48:08 this graph is frustrating to me when I want to research about old cards, few years after release. Especially the 2000, 3000 and 4000 series card. I can never easily gauge how good a card is because every review will be saying the card is shit based on price to performance. I wish it was easier to figure if a card is shit or not, period. Regardless of price.
50:20 annnnddddd Luke solves my problem. Please Luke, implement this. This is so useful for us peasants in third world countries that can only afford used cards.
Ummm, for the pricing/performance thing, def just make a box that we can input the costs we have locally to show a $/frame for what ever weve found. Thus getting around the connection to stores issue agreements etc. I dont see Labs being responsible for all the permutations of new vs used vs custom listing. Guaranteed somebody will kick back saying "you said 'x' and i disnt get that" bs. Love your work across the board, love that you are a proffitable business, dont care what money your making as if it matters to me.
Wild amount of ads during this video. Like 4x more than the rest of the videos I watch. Come on!
How the hell as a Canadian can you remove the U from colour when the root word is French (a language half of you speak) and has two U's in it (couleur).

Why anyone cares this much about how LMG makes money, and how much, is beyond me. Let alone some of the people who feel entitled to such info to the point of questioning what you disclosed.
Bring back Channel Super Fun. I love the tech info but seeing your staff have funny times is great. Bring back channel super fun.

AMD needs to atttend the situation in Greece ASP we have scalper pricing from retailers with cards costing up to 1000 euros !!!
there are allready pricefinding sites, which show the prices of articles of certain vendors. In germany we have idealo or geizhals and billiger. If you loose money on that, dont do it. it allready exists and they earn money.

PC Part Picker has all that pricing info. Could you interface with them somehow?
I would say OG subs make money at least in the way of if it cost me more i wouldve canceled it years ago and i watch like 1 float plane exclusive every like 6 months vs if i wasnt a og sub i just wouldnt be a sub anymore. since id say a large portion of og subs shouldnt be compared to higher cost subs but instead should be compared to people not subscribed
