  1. SteamOS is a miracle that's been in the works for ages. It only hits harder when you tried your best to get the best performance out of your poor pc by using Linux and using Wine in various ways to get that extra fps.

  2. Imo in order for steamos to truely take off developers need to start compiling versions specifically for it/linux

  3. as a die hard windows user for gaming, i recently got into steamos by just out of boredom installing it on a secondary pc with a basic 6600xt in it and i was genuinely shocked at how well it works. the only deal breaker for me was you have to jump through hoops to get other launchers on it and there is NO xbox games support at all. Modding games can be a bit of a hassle as well. but with how smooth things run on it it's almost worth it. still not for everyone though, definitely not for normies.

  4. The Vision Pro was quite advanced, but not many people really need AR and it was too expensive for most of the small number of potential users.
Noone wants AR looking like this in their everyday life, and there are not many programs, which would help you to use it even in fields, where it would be practical.
If you are in need of VR glasses, there in no reason buiyng something that much more expensive than all of the competition.

  5. 1 reason the Vision Pro didnt sell as much was also due to them being Region Locked and only So many countries could get it

  6. I think the RX Flop series/Flop VII is the biggest flop, AMD pulled the same stunt as the TitN Xp, V and RTX only to be huge flop.

  7. WTF is steamOS.. never heard about it..

  8. I kinda like these shorts. I would like to hear more of your opinions to these questions.

  9. If you're dumb enough to sell something that's readily available at <200 bucks from competitors at over 3500 dollars, then yeah… you dig that grave and jump in it too.

  10. Sponsor read in a short. That is true segwaying

Im not even mad just impressed with the hustle

  11. Really? Ads in shorts?

  12. I'm going to be honest. In addition to the price, I think we just don't like wearing eye visors for long periods of time.

  13. More money than the one you scam from your subs?

  14. Genuinely so excited for steamos im gonna buy a lenovo legion go s with the z1 chip

  15. Vision Pro is a polished dev kit. Nothing more. Future products will grow from the ecosystem it enabled.

  16. I forgot about the Apple Vision.

  17. My new PC is gonna have SteamOS on it, because genuinely, I'm sick of the resource hog that is Windows, and I don't want Windows 11.

I don't need the 200 built in features on Windows that I'll never use. I don't need a Linkedin keybind or any of that crap.

  18. PC asthetics. Most impactful? Look at how much more Lian Li makes on their aesthetic components compared to any other company. They basically rule all non CPU/GPU/Memory based aspects of PC building

  19. Game is nothin compare to the real work tech like vision pro boys.

  20. Sorry, but a companies expectations have nothing to do with a product being a flop or not. A flop is if the product fails horribly and didn't even make as much as it cost to develop.

  21. Wouldn't that be Proton rather than SteamOS?
Because SteamOS would have been just another competitor for Windows if Valve didn't release Proton to the public and make Linux more viable for gamers

  22. It's not a bad product, it's enormously overpriced without a singular usage, with a lot of bad features… So it's actually not even a serious product at all…

  23. Hey someone from LTT, my bday is coming up and I am considering to ask for a LTT screwdriver (noctua) but to get it to my country it would cost like 80 euros (116 canadian). Is this worth it?

  24. I'll vote on facebook's metaverse. How many billions went into that and essentially nothing came out of it?

  25. No way that's the visual for the sponsor segment😭

  26. I’m a Mac user. If SteamOS is compatible for my system I would install it immediately.

  27. I'm lke 99% convinced Apple is pretty much over at this point. The company has nothing interesting anymore. No cloud that matters. No AI that matters. Just more iPhone and iPad garbage.

  28. Would have been a different story had Apple sold it for $999

  29. Give it two more generations and it'll be good, plus the hardware and what they learnt is defo being used for their real ar glasses that'll compete with meta. That's the think vision is their gateway and any smart investors would know this would happen. It's basically a beta test device

  30. Apple Vision Pro, aside from being expensive, they just made the usual 'we know better' decisions that kneecapped some of its potential use case. First, no included dedicated controller. They really wanted people to use their gestures which is understandable given how much they worked on getting it right, but not having a wireless controller system made it unappealing as a new platform for VR/AR gaming. Secondly, I seem to recall they made some questionable choices with App compatibility? Needing to add support on a per-app basis or it just wouldn't be launchable normally? Something like that. They also deliberately turned their noses at some popular software, I think?

  31. When a reasonable proportion of your price tag is a brand tax…

  32. No, it IS a bad product. Apple basically produced their own version of the Virtual Boy. Except the Virtual Boy is actually more useful than that pile of 3500$ land waste.

  33. Apple just cares about making a platform to sell apps on, this is why apple vision is what it was instead of some cool vr extension for iphone or mac.

  34. Apple could’ve sold it so well, if only they were like about 600-1000 bucks like all the other headsets…

The apple tax truly killed it here

  35. You missed the point, Apple doesn’t know what to do with Vision Pro. Is it a work PC? Is it the ultimate media device? Is it a gaming device? Is it an on the go workstation? The Vision Pro today is what the Apple Watch was when it came out, no fitness tracking or any of the stuff it’s known for today. Let the product mature

  36. The Apple Vision Pro is an incredible piece of technology that is practically useless

  37. Only Linus puts a add into shortform content

  38. MPREG LINUS

  39. Let's not forget about Jibo, the most adorable tech flop ever.

  40. If vision pro was selling in 1k instead of 3k, it will sell

  41. Apple vision is so good. I’ve been enjoying being an early adopter

  42. Apple thought their brand loyalty would extend over to VR, and I can't really say I blame them for trying.

Valve making Linux mainstream benefited the entire community now that adoption is gradually taking off.

  43. Just like everything Apple makes… it was terrible

  44. It happened with the Hololens too. Tech is still too expensive. Once it is $999 both will take off. Hololens is still the Best and easier way to learn or train someone do something. People do not understand.

  45. a sponsored segment in a youtube short is WILD 😭

  46. I thought fisker was the biggest flop
