Some of the screencap shown doesn't fully align with what Linus is actually speaking about, and we'll be fixing it ASAP. Thanks!
i don't want to be that " aCtUaLLy π€" guy. but this video shows everything 10x harder than it is and may mislead many average users. the rufus will bypass TPM, secure boot and local user by default if you don't uncheck the things that are already checked. so no need for those weird extra cmd commands. the driver installation part, just update your windows right after you boot into it and it will usually install every driver except like the gpu driver for the nVidia app or Adrenaline app. no need to download so much extra bloat. and for debloating windows while "shneegans" might be fine but usually u will get most of the bloat back after windows update. u can use something like "talon" or windows 11 debloater . these scripts actually do some changes in registry so windows can't install those bloatware back after every update. good luck
Best way to install windows is to install Linux instead.
Another tip , In language tab choose english (Global) -> there will be no bloatware installed
I don't upgrade my Windows until; what I'm running and what I'm upgrading to -are both out of date.
W7 to W10 -last year. W10 to W11 -prob when I need a new CPU and it's not compatible.
First step : make a Linux Mint bootable flash drive
Second step : install Linux
π
I debloated my windows by installing linus
Install gentoo.
Cringe.
I can already hear Linux users: Next up How to install Linux!
Year is 2025, we are still unable to select the drive, god forbid partition, windows is installed on.
Super Informative Video, Thanks Linus !π
Wait,,, you unchecked the option in rufus to bypass tpm check and then used regedit which doesn't require a rufus made installer π€¦
What about Microsoft Visual Code?!
for a client i had to do a fresh windows install. the time i did it the "oobe bypassnro" command did not work. use the command "start ms-cxh:localonly". should still work.
yarrrr me hearty.
Atlas OS is a thing that you should take an eye on
Hey I'm a rookie in pc building or hardware so this might sound stupid but why didn't he purchased Windows 11, I thought it was paidπ€¨
3:24 Linus you should get that twitch looked at π
2:25 YES, for the love of God, don't install Windows if you have other drives containing an OS connected, or it will F them up. Why Microsoft can't at least give you the option to leave the other drives alone is beyond me. If I want to dual boot, I'll select the boot drive with the BIOS.
Step One: Install SteamOS. π
Really some good tip's thanks linus π note: O&O ShutUp10++ also nice app
Or as I discovered recently.
I managed to revive my old gaming laptop with Linux Bazzite!
A laptop that had win11 and was terrible to game on, now, I can use it again and I get decent performance with an old 2060 mobile gpu!
Now thats a Tech Tip I recomend!

Why…. WHY HAVE I JUST LEARNED ABOUT NINITE?!
thank you for the tip, mr. linus tech
This is a pretty weak Tech Tip video. You didn't mention how to circumvent the Microsoft account login during the initial setup and use a local account instead.
Now do tutorial how to dualboot Linux Mint Cinnamon with Windows.
i actually needed to do a clean install of windows 11. my current one kept crashing and I knew it wasn't hardware. thank you so much Mr.TechTips
I love and always use the autounattend option and run the LeDragoX debloatware. Perfect setup to me.
Kinda pissed that linus just accept, that you need a Microsoft account now. Was expecting him to use the circumvention for that (as you should).
