Please don't ever sponsor segue like that again. You guys need to remember your audience is 17 years older now, I facepalmed so hard I pulled something.
Just going to point out, as previous years' budget builds have, that old HP Z workstations are still an excellent starting point. They tend to have pretty good motherboards compared to Dell.
Fingers on the video controller contacts bleh
Me watching this with a 3930k and a GTX 980 getting 20 fps in hell divers
If on tight budget there are tons of older gen ryzen pcs for sale bought one with 2700 512gb ssd and 16gb ram 750 watt bronze psu for £150 slapped in 3070 i got for £170 sold the 2700 for 30 upgraded to 5600 60 and total build cost was £350 for ryzen 5 5600 pc 16gb ram and a rtx 3070 beast of pc
I'm not sure whether to be happy or sad to see (nearly) my parts used in this build 😅
I'm running i7 4790 (non K) and RTX2070 super, I held a small celebration for my CPU turning 10!
Valorant and CS run great, as do the fun-with-friends indie games and I can even make non-graphically demanding games no worries!
Recently though some games struggle, for example The Finals was a bad time.
I've got a plan though, every GTA release upgrade the whole PC, and midway through GTA's upgrade GPU.
You should avoid AMD's 5000 series too, as it doesn't have ray tracing support.
My brothers, do not ever settle for a HDD in this age unless it's just for media
Did Linus raid my house? I had a Zotac 2070 Super mini and a Cooler Master N200 case (I love that case and its big brother the N400)
Obviously that hdd is the problem.
gaming on a used part pc with a new cpu i built for about 400 usd 2 years ago. asus x570-p, ryzen 5 5500, 1660Super, 16gb ddr4 3200mhz and a evo 980 m.2. i was so proud when i first built it but now that i want to upgrade i get discouraged that i cant find upgrades for similar price ranges. almost cheaper to just build a new pc outside of the gpu
Can i have that PC? I dont have one 😂
Should of splurged on a veloci raptor
E3 1230 v2 would have been the same price as the i5 3570, those extra threads are need for modern games
Shouts out to David, love me a David co-hosted video. I appreciate you dude.
$269 for the greatest, largest gaming library of all time + workstation is astounding. I love how much y’all have encouraged buying used. I did it for my 3080 and it works beautifully, whereas before I would only imagine buying new.
My RX580 8gb and i7 3770 are still rocking hard💪💪
Should've included lossless scaling. Breathes SO much more life into old hardware for only like $5
Maybe I’ll finally upgrade from my i7 2600K
Youtubers desperate to find cheap gaming systems because they know darn well the people who can afford $5000 systems don't watch some effeminate guy named Linus on Youtube. LOL!
That new screwdriver is clearly a good deal
The arc a750 is under 200 at the moment
Thx for reassuring that my 20series gpu still isn't obsolete
I would point out the 7200rpm your drive spins at. I'd say that should be a minimum. 5400rpm drives do hurt…a lot
"Big, beautiful budget increase" – Hahahahahahahahaha!!
I’m running a 6700k with a 2070 super and a asus sabertooth tuf z170 motherboard. 64gb of ddr4 and I’m playing all games on high settings in 1440p. I’m looking to upgrade my motherboard and cpu soon. Any suggestions?
There has to be calculable effect on the prices you paid for the parts and this videos popularity.
pushes the button and deletes Linus! okay i looked on ebay because the rtx2080super… it costs 244€+7€ shipping (394,32 CAD)
Why dont you do valorant in fps games a lot of us play valorant and would love to see perfonce metrics on those games
Please don’t delete me….
damn 2070s for 130 bucks, you be lucky to find one under 220 Euro where i live 😂
Ah man
Seeing this is so cool, the original 69 $ pc vid made me hunt for a pc for my brothers birthday (got a budget pc and then upgraded the GPU/CPU and sold the ones that were in there
Had it not been for that video, I probably wouldn’t have started the journey which was actually a very nice one
let's be real here Linus in Canada we can not get a computer for $269 for gaming, its just not gonna happen eh.. ooff spinning drive… lol
you can get dell optiplex's for less then 50aud where i am and they have 9th gen cpus..
Me migrating my old parts to a new board 😀
The jab @ the Dorito Dictator was great.
How did it run better than my 1500AUD PC Setup….I got Scammed </('=w=')>
4:46 I picked up a 2080 Ti fe on mp for only $225 for a flip pc. Got a really great deal on it.
Omg that N200, my friend still has that case from when I bought it 8 years ago. I remember watching linus review that case and falling in love with it. Memories..❤
As far as gaming goes. A PS4 IMO would be a better overall experience..
