For your next vram benchmark test it would be great to make some vidéo generation with comyfui. wan2.1 need a lot of vram. And it can bench how long can be the generated vidéo.

try watercooling and overclocking it. I have great results on my 4090

Well it makes sens, you just do jlc pcb custom design, and you can have as much vram as you want, but you have to be a good pcb designer to pull it off…
The reason why NVidia don't offer larger amounts of VRAM on their "gaming" cards is so they don't cannibalize from from "professional" cards, where you pay 10 times the price for often less compute, just for the privilege of an extra few hundred dollars worth of memory chips.

The bios is the 4090 FE bios.
You just need to change the memory straps on the pcb which they would have set to on there custom pcb to 24X2
The straps have a few configurations you can use.
12X2 (default)
12X4
24X2
24X4
There choice of more chips over the same amount but of larger capacity would most likely be down to price.
You get 2Gb IC's for dirt cheap now days. The VRam and Custom PCB are probably adding $200 to the cost of it. Which makes it way way cheaper then any card that cames with 48GB.

While I see the fun behind the Jenson, I think a normal, proper (fake) leather jacket would sell better.
The re-manufacturer could probably corner the market, by taking Quadro and Professional cards and doubling the Vram, then selling them to people using Unreal, Iray etc render engines that load a crapload of texture maps.
This thing just screams for a shunt mod! Without any power restrictions and a proper cooler (waterblock?), it could be a beast of a card.
If you are using open webui, you can set the same Seed number in the chat settings. This will let you replicate results on different instances.
