thank you max fosh
Should also mention the coil wine on the 5090s as thats a big consideration for a lot of people
What are some cheap cpus for an RX 9070? I’m thinking about the Ryzen 5 7600X but I don’t know if this is enough.
5090 is a bit like the Bugatti Veyron/Chiron of GPUs: Hugely powerful, insanely fast and highly desirable … but also carrying an equally insane price-tag and thus positioned well out of reach of most folks. Though the comparison might be a bit unfair towards the car as there are actual reasons other than "greed" why a Bugatti is over a million EUR, and IIRC, on the Veyron at least, VW never made a profit on any of the cars they sold. So unless you have money to burn or you need the card to do your job/make money, you might as well give this one a wide berth. If only because you don't want to support NV's recent price- and/or supply-shenanigans.
5080 just doesn't offer enough bang per buck to make it a tempting offer. I was going back and forth between the 9070XT and 5070Ti when I bought last month (ended up with the 5070Ti), but even though there was a 5080 on sale at the time for just over EUR 1000, I wasn't really tempted by it. It's not that much faster than the 5070Ti, it doesn't come with more than 16GB and there's a huge gap between it and the 5090 (plus the 5070Ti was available for under MSRP). Overall it doesn't look special/performant enough for an 80-tier card and certainly not impressive enough to justify a four-figure pricetag. I tend to agree that there will probably be a 5080 Super coming, though seeing how "meh" the 4080 Super was, and the fact that AMD does not compete in its performance-tier, I'm not sure it'll close that gap.
Personally, I would do what I did already and go for the 5070Ti or 9070XT if you're after a higher end card but don't need the insane amounts of performance that the 5090 offers. My reasons why I stuck with NV and got the 5070Ti are mostly down to laziness, I suppose, as I didn't want to switch a running system from Green to Red. Though an argument could be made that NV still have the more compelling feature-set on offer and that their cards are more power-efficient than AMD's current line-up.
What is an acceptable FPS with people? And stop calling it AI for frame gen. There is nothing AI about cloning frames.
I use a 5090, and I will rather play a game at 4k 60fps with no dlss or framegen nonsense than with it at 200fps. Not saying everyone shpuld do that but i specifically play more single player cinematic games and i want my 4k visuals to actually be at real 4k frames.
Can u reduce this hyper ad videos watched 1 at beginning another 2 30 20 second ad in skipped location to midrange gou
RT & PT is so damn pointless its laughable
when is the rx 9060 xt 16gb mentioned
A msrp 5080 would be awesome
No regrets getting the 5090 Astral. Monster Card
For me, QHD gaming seems to be the sweet spot. Therefore, the Intel ARC B580, Nvidia RTX 5060 Ti with 16 GB of VRAM, Nvidia RTX 5070, and Radeon RX 9060 XT with 16GB of VRAM.
I think 5080 is the great option with 4k gaming.
Rtx5070ti is it ok with the 7800x3d?
Or should I get a higher cpu??
I want a 5070ti but I'm terrified to get one and then NVIDIA drops the t0 series equivalent of a 4070ti super (what I wanted before the 50 series release screwed the GPU market)
Anyone have advice? Worth waiting to buy a GPU for my new rig, or just get the 5070ti?
I like the video, but don't watch it
shlda made this video sooner💔
You nividia fanboy. My god I have seen so many complaints on discussions on stuttering. Most users do not overclocking. How much did nividia pay u.
Well done, thanks for the info! Keep on keepin on mate!
I personally have paired a new B580 (which I got on sale) with a 7500F, best FPS per dollar combination in my view
5070 is trash. 9070 has 16gb vram, best power efficiency in the whole market right now, trashes it in raster, has same ray tracing performance, enconding for streaming is same. dlss4 is in 40 more games which is 2-3 months of new fsr4 releases (last driver update was ~15-20 games) and fsr4 redstone with neural rendering in a few months too. all of that points to vram beeing the most important thing right now.
Getting the 5070 ti in 2 days!!! Upgrading from the Geforce 9500 GT
I bought a 5070ti and ryzen 7 7800x3d, I’ve seen people get up to 800-900+ fps on average on high 1440p valorant and I barely get 600 on low 1080p. I’ve tweaked bios, updated it, and have all updated drivers, but I don’t understand why I get so little in comparison to other benchmarkers. Can someone help 😭
There is no good GPU in 2025. I sent my 5080 back it was woeful for the MSRP vs my old 3080. I'll wait for an actual upgrade 6000 series before being scammed for a grand+ again.
Get to the (POINT!)
so i am confused, at the current prices does pc centric advise getting the 5070 over the 9070 ? or just go with the 9070
Hi, Can you do a video on the rtx 5090 and which is the best, I mean are they all the same or do have different features than others.
Cheers
Darren
Ps keep up the great work lads…
does 5070 have 16gb vram ?
I'm getting the 5060ti. I was mostly getting it because of previous good experience, DLSS, mfg and good high RT performance for 1080p. But Nvidia has some hidden gems in it's control panel/App, like DLDSR/DSR and RTX HDR. Also currently only Nvidia has RR, till AMD launches Redstone
Thank you for the video. Could you add performance figures for VR flightsim? Maybe just for mid and highend cards. Using a new VR headset in DCS is very demanding…
Just my luck I bought a new GPU literally 30mins before this video dropped, fortunately its one recommended in the video 🙂
I was able to snag a rx 9070 xt for half the price of the rtx 5070 ti. It’s my first PC build and I wanted nvidia, but there’s no way it’s twice as good as amd!
immediately sees the graphics card he's going to buy in a few weeks in the opening shot👀 Can't wait to grab my 9070 XT Taichi to replace my 2070 Super. The 5070ti and the 9070xt are "mid range"? O boy lol
The ultimate graphics card buyers guide for 2025 is very simple: Don't buy any.
There isn't a single gpu out there worth its money.
Although frame gen is controversial but I hate to say I'm liking it although people say it increases latency but the smoothness on frames certainly weighs more I haven't noticed any artifacts on cyberpunk path tracing dying light 2 and the witcher 3 ray tracing as I'm not pixel peeping
Just bought na Gigabyte 5070 Ti last week + Ultra 7 265k for productivity. loving it so far.
framegen is fake frames, dlss is fake resolution, both are cheap ai trash that costs companies nothing to develop but allows them to sell cheap hardware for premium because it supports " the new technology " i'm not convinced by any of that, what they should spend money on is r&d on the hardware level, by using more premium material and more efficient components, to provide REAL better performance
I am currently using an Rtx 4070 super oc with Ryzen 7 7700 in 1440p 180hz monitor mainly for gaming, should I switch to Rtx 5070ti or 9070xt? I am very confused.
Snagged a 5070 MSI gaming trio for $499 less than a month ago. The deals exist if you’re patient and diligent.
not gay but damn ur hot
