I knew open source models for this existed like in china (for manufacturing) but thanks for showing this it’s really cool! But it requires adaptive cruise control and other features and if my car has that why would I even bother with this but it makes sense once it gets better . If it’s gets better than a 2022 i30 n line on the highway I might consider it.

Been using comma devices since the EON over 5 years ago. First on my Honda Civic and then on my ford maverick. Driven probably 150k miles with the device and let me tell you, this thing is a GAME CHANGER. Especially for long road trips.
Its not particularly useful inside cities however. Although downloading sunnypilot fork with MADS can potentially give you always lane keep assist on is atill amazingly helpful inside the city.
Don't think, just buy it. Its THAT worth it. Just keep in mind that you should probably be at least a little techie because the companies support help is often rude or downright useless.
This is the single best mod you can buy for your car.

Omg, I can't look. Tesla is defective with 9 cameras, Waymo has 13 cameras, 4 Lidar and 6 radar sensors. This thing seems to just have 1 camera !!! Shouldn't self-driving be regulated?

this tech really looks promising. Although I would prefer either full autopilot mode or full ‘manual’.
Otherwise I would forget how to drive as a human without assist. And if I were to get in a car without it, it might probably end up in an accident.
Unlike Tesla FSD, this actually exists, for less than they charge for FSD.

That car probably only has lane assistance which won't give enough steering angle for actual corners. Full park assist should work.

WEAR YOUR SEATBELT PROPERLY! I don't care if your excuse is because your mic would have conflicted with it's placement, move the mic. Endangering yourself and other road users for the sake of better audio quality is unacceptable.
Insurance companies don't cover driver incompetence, and filming yourself driving on public roads without proper seatbelt placement is just begging for your license to be suspended-I would not be surprised if a viewer saw this and reported you to the police.
I drive a manual, but it still has cruise control. Would I still possibly be able to get one of these things for specifically highway driving?

It's so cool to be able to plug it in a lot of cars.
But yeah it works better on latest vehicles lol for example I think open pilot works well in Tesla bc they have full range control, it might work better in some situations than BASE autopilot, but the lack of rear view make it really less safe than autopilot. I won't talk about FSD that can't be compared to it.
I use an older system of theirs close to probably about 3 or 4 years ago. Only last me 2 years before it bricked itself due to a failing cooling fan on it. Used to use it with a 2016 Toyota Prius and it was an amazing thing when I did have it working. Nowadays though I a drive a bz4X Toyota EV that has a built-in adapter cruise control with autosteer.

toyota has driving assistance for a while now…. put that cruise control on and watch it work. will keep you in lane and match the speed to car in front of you
My friend has one of these and he loves it! We carpool a lot and I hardly ever see him need to take full control of the car.
