I've loved the idea of a folding phone for a while and the 7 was probably going to be the one.. Just gutted the S-Pen no longer works with the removal of the digitizer 🙁
The standard 21:9 aspect ratio is perfect. Don't know why this wasnt done sooner, even on the S series.
Had a play today and submitted my pre-order. I was worried about the pen but I tested it and you CAN use a cheap stylus with the rubber tip. You just miss out on the button function and the hover feature when you hover over emails and photos etc. And a cheap stylus is much easier to build compared to the tiny spen for my fold 6
Why bother compare to the previous gen when that's not available anymore and clearly old tech? It is more relevant to compare the specs to what you CAN buy like Pixel 9 Fold or a Magic V5 etc.
No pen is a deal breaker 😢. Almost bought it.

No S pen, no phone
It was time to add SPen support to the outer screen. Not to remove it from the inner screen. Disappointed.

Stop producing stupid phones. I would like to see "Fold 7 Max" version with completely flat back panel, but thicker to match camera rings, and with lot bigger battery inside that space. Not 5Ah, not 6Ah, but 10Ah. I'm not interested in the race who will produce thinner folded phone. I'm interested in getting really decent battery life. Customers who want to have thinnest phone, because look is more important for them over functionality, can have standard Fold 7 version, but I think people are buying folded phones to be productive instead of how it looks. Now I'm using Fold 4 and thickness doesn't bother me. Very poor battery life bothers me.
Shitty accu and not top of the line camera set up. Too little too late. Plus dust resistant is week also. Lets buy a Vhinese phone instead.

Camera bump should have been redesigned….it should had a slimmer profile….looks out of place? For 2k, the Fold 7 should have been perfect (5000mAh battery and S-pen support). 😮😢
After the 6 everyone said make the s pen work on the front screen, and make the pen internally stored… Samsung says "fuck the s pen completely!" Hence I'm out
I'm medical sales rep. I use the spen every day. Expense reports done on my 24ultra where I can easily mark up my receipts, meeting notes when I'm in training, taking quick notes in an instant when I'm in an office and there's a question or a to do item I can't afford to forget. Even for those who don't use it, it's an overall downgrade. It's going backwards. Bigger phone and we can't take advantage of the real estate? I feel betrayed
