Majority of the time, Smash Champs is just a badminton facility. But then you might ask, “Why did you hook it up with fiber optic networking, on-site servers, and so much power?”. Well, dear viewer, we are going to host the most BALLING LANs you’ve ever seen, with the help of KIOXIA and our new cache server.

Correction:
22:02 – 2.5 Gigabit + 1.9 Gigabit = 4.4 Gigabit Combined, not 3.4. Sorry!
When does the commercials end
15:56 this means if you wanted full bandwidth, you would want no more than 16 people per switch. edit: if it's 20, then 8 lmao
Why not just use steams built in caching now? No need for a central server, as long as enough computers share enough games.
Like "24 hours" referense.
6:42 lol guys the epyc 4585px costs about the same as a 9950X3D and has 4 more PCIe lanes, I'm really not sure why you didn't go for that one.
I don't think it's fair you compared the price to a 9135 which has 128 pcie lanes and 12 memory channels; clearly intended for a different market
So,where are the 100 people ?
me watching this with 40 down speed
Make a fully passively cooled pc and have it be as fast as possible
whale lannn
man if only i wasn't a 60ish hr car ride away 🥲
I would appreciate if you published your 3D models
The single 40mm fan scares me. Tested a gen 5 U.2 last month and it needed so much air
Jake be looking FIT this video!
I saw warframe!
Day 22 of asking for a 5000 dolars pc
Just so you know linus. I can tell you ate before the video. Your mouth looks like its stained red from soup or something.
When is Mac Address coming back?
This Flatcar Linux sounds amazing with all its declarative config and repeatability. A couple more years and they will reinvent the entire NixOS!
17:50 unc didn't like that and shook his head 😂😂
For people who handle valueble goods, you're like little children. Please don't show any more screw ups, oro do, so we can see we are better than them. The amount of time you guys drop stuff. It amazes me.
Do you use local DNS to redirect Steam calls to the local server? How do clients know to pull from the local cache rather than the real Steam servers?
15Gbps for 50 people isn't even 50MB / 400Mbps per person. 2 computer did 4.4Gbit (2.2Gbps per person). How can that be good with that NIC, those disks and the low utility of the CPU? Dont add up…
Editor: Loving the subtle highlighting (like at 9:48) so we know exactly what you're talking about 🙂
Awesome guys hardcore
That Costco trip though!
Hello, could you please create a video about Teltonika networking equipment? It would be quite interesting to see how it compares to the other equipment on the market.
so for 100+ppl your server will be cpu limited
It’s somewhat endearing how Jake slowly becomes more and more confident on camera. Have you noticed it as well?
Something about the way Linus moves looks like AI. My brain is cooked. I wish I could detox off AI. I don't want it polluting my brain anymore. I'm 100% on board with AI art, but deep fake type bullshit needs to die.
13:58 – Linus Gets to Try Another Hole With His Finger. 🤣The part of the video should've been called that lmaooooo
I miss the old LANs before every console had to be connected to the internet. The good old halo3/cod4 days
3:35 I find it sooo confusing that in the networking-context transparent means not visible to the enduser when everywhere else it would mean exactly that
lol taht thing is hopelessly overpowered 😀
Another episode of Linus Drops Tips I see
12:50 i love how he is counting pins, when you can just see from the detection/termination pin, where 8x ends due to the shorter pin😂 same for x4 and x1… without checking the detect pin should be the last or second to last Pin, which you can check by looking at the end of the x16 connector❤
Linus drop tips 4:30
Does network caches works with youtube Videos ?
19:18 So mostly its like NixOS?
Scripted Linus drops are just not fun anymore
