Is this just Framework
Nice. I can steal your motherboard in less than a minute without you knowing.
Google Thinkpad hmm….
enough to know it can be disassembled without a prayer
Dell Concept Laptop Luna is Modular and Sustainable and more expensive and less powerful!
just like my ACER VERO!
Apple: let’s me do the other way
long overdue… jeeez. 2022 and still trying to block users to fix THEIR stuff…
I love MacBooks but after 2013 pros they started making laptops that are anti repair. Other companies soon followed apple’s example. Glad to see this .
Im still gonna pick framework
Great to see these things come to light
This sounds in line with right to repair. Apple will introduce it in 2035 n call it🤔
"sustainable" is such a turnoff…
So I hope they commercialize it soon.
Come on, Apple
Here we go again with modular electronics.. it does not work because it will always be economically unconvenient for the companies who make it
Now all parts just need to have standardised slots & independent of the manufacturer, like a desktop.
I would be happy if all laptops either used USB-C charging or a unified power adapter for gaming laptops that draw more than 100w.
music is too loud
Loved the concept! it's logical, and practical to some extent, as hardware keeps getting updated. But it's a good concept!
Already got a Framework laptop. Super happy with it. It seems Dell is a bit behind.
Ouch. Dell’s best idea for the future is coming up with a great way to put their laptops in the dumpster and recycle them. Real great marketing slogan there.
the main reason why people love PC is because its possibility to custom and sustain it longer… if laptop maker follow the same… dammmnnnn it will be amazing
A little bit of greenwashing from Dell…
Laptops used to be modular in general.
It's sad that's now considered a "breakthrough".
they've been throwing this modular laptop for a while….
but never see it fully adopted….
This is so great. They need to get off "this is just a concept" and make it reality. This brings back the manifestation and use of intelligence back to computer design. Imagine the reduction in waste even if you were to limit component compatibility.
Very interesting….. I think big companies should work on modular technology. Very big promise is hidden under this technology.
This is exciting! Hope this becomes a commercial success.
They should provide upgrade motherboard like going from 13th intel to 14 or 15th..
