My opinion on the computers. I think if the school is requiring your children to have a chrome book, then they need to provide it. If they don't provide it, then they need to go back to teaching out of textbooks.
I dont get why I would pay 700 for a laptop that isn't really a laptop and more like a smartphone with a keyboard the MacBook makes more sense for that price.

The requirement for pcs for kids in school over here is a browser and that’s it. Just slapped Linux on a laptop and Firefox is good enough.

Can't you Chromify an old Windows laptop?
I'm watching this on a laptop that was too weak when new to run the Windows 10 OS. It's running ChromeOS Flex just fine, and better than it ever ran on Windows.
I really don't understand the need/want of a touchscreen on a laptop. You have to reach over the far more precise trackpad and keyboard to reach it, it just doesn't make sense!

I got IdeaPad slim 3 of lenevo with Ryzen 7 5825u for like 44,500 Inr(Indian rupees) like $504.I would recommend this over that $399 slimpad 3 with some low end processor
