  2. You said FG is baked into DLSS 4. So can I just turn off FG from DLSS 4?

  3. Ads about intel cpu for gaming….should we really trust tech reviewers that do ads about tech ?

  4. Frame gen is worst then you need it most !

  5. Clicked the vid thinking Nvidia are lying about DLSS only to be greeted with an idiot's guide to DLSS. Nice click bait title…have a dislike. Cheers

  6. Doom dark ages:
    Low native: 80FPS / 30ms
Ultra, dlss, reflex, frame gen: 150FPS / 33ms and game is much smoother.
I was against this technology for years and still am, but it works well in most cases.
If you have at least 80-90FPS base, then this technology will only make the image smoother.
I'm more interested in where the promised reflex 2 is.

  7. Despite being on higher end gpus, I use DLSS but AVOID frame generation in ALL instances as it makes me feel 🄓🤢🤮

  8. I’ll o take DLSS upscaling easily over frame generation šŸ’ŖšŸ‘šŸ„³ each and every time!!! Otherwise I drop my settings to get better frame rate performance

  9. DLSS and the like is bad because it gives devs a free pass to not optimise. There’s zero excuse for spending 3000+ on a PC in 2025 and seeing it struggle with games from 2020 onwards. I miss playing games natively with no crutches

  10. I agree with everything said in the video. I think the main disconnect is in the frame generation territory, because not only does NVIDIA market it in a very misleading way, many people are also so unbelievably insensitive to increased latency, they turn frame gen on with base frame rate of 25 and tell everyone to do the same. That creates a huge gap between these people and people like me, who find it unusable even in the best case scenario of having 60 or more base fps.

  11. The thing is, we should not need to create fake frames or upscale. Why? The products being made are not capable, at 4k at a stable 120 FPS. If graphics cards could do this all the while, why would we need upscaling…

  12. The new AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition 25.9.1 that just released unlocks FSR4 for all games with FSR3 and Dx12 making the library now with over 80 games with FSR4

  13. How to get a clear image in modern TAA blurfest gaming. On 1440p use DLDSR at 4k, combine with DLSS and use the smoothness setting to dial in sharpness which works during gameplay. If the game has no true fullscreen like God of War or Uncharted 4 you just set the desktop to 4k DLDSR in the Nvidia Control Panel or use Nvidia Super Resolution to force DLAA at 1440p. DLAA looks worse than the DLDSR/DLSS trick though. At 4k? Sorry you are getting ripped off as far as bank for buck. 4k is for big TV's you are using a PC as a console for. Just use DLSS in that case. Once you figure this out it is LIFECHANGING. Just make sure you are using the DLSS 4 Transformer model. There are many ways you can leverage this. The Nvidia App, NvidiaProfileInspector or simply dropping the new DLL and replacing the old one where the game is installed. You can find them on techpowerup.

Frame Gen? This sh@^ sucks outside VERY specific use cases. AKA Japanese titles that run at 30 or 60, emulation where FPS sucks and even then it's only really decent with a controller. I would never ever use it with a mouse. The problem with frame gen is that it only works really well when you don't need it (already near or above 60 FPS) and modern game engines stutter so badly anyways near 60 that it really doesn't accomplish much. A gigantic stutter or bad frametime with frame gen is still a bad stutter and frametime.

  14. I’m SO glad Harry Potter found work after the movies ended — keep posting informative tutorials, Harry!

  15. I was playing WAW, on Plutonium, and I was getting over 700 fps, at 4K, on a 1080p 144Hz monitor.
It was like playing in slow motion, everything was unbelievably clear, and I thought that was amazing.
I'm running a 7900XT & 7700X, so I know my card isn't naturally capable of that kind of performance, but even if it's fake, I'll take it.
I was literally using a gaming laptop running a GTX 1650, until I built my machine, about 6 months ago.

  16. media offline

  17. I don't if it's just me but DLSS frame gen feels a lot better on the 5000 series then the 4000 series. But you still get these artifacts when you move the mouse around with higher than 2x fg.

  18. 11:33 Whilst true in most cases, if you're already at the max refresh of your monitor for say.. a game like Overwatch and you decide to enable DLSS you would actually incur a latency penalty. These image reconstruction techniques aren't without cost. It's not a button you always want to turn on, it's a button you want to turn on when you need it and you may not always need it.

  19. Nvidia's (Steam) gaming market share is 100% reflective of just how much better DLSS4 is than FSR4.

That does include the frame smoothing feature of FG and MFG, which is substantially superior to AMD's solution, much like DLSS4 is Vs FSR4. Both in terms of image quality and game support…

It's the consumer value that allows Nvidia to utterly dominate the RX 9000 series, which gets utterly beat by used RTX 40 series GPUs… 🤣

  20. I like the fake frames better. I wish I could get the gpu to only show the fake ones.

  21. Noone was lied to, not many understood how it actually worked.

  22. You should have mentioned Intel Arc cards having two different types of XeSS. Intel GPUs will use the XMX pathway which is an AI upscaler much like DLSS and FSR 4, whereas other GPUs will use the DP4A pathway which is similar to FSR 1-3 but usually gets better image quality.

People tend to give XeSS a bad reputation due to them using it on an AMD or Nvidia GPU and therefore using the inferior DP4A version. However, I have heard from Digital Foundry that the XMX upscaler has very good image quality.

  23. Am I going blind or something? Could barely tell a difference. Thank you for all your awesome content though. I built my first PC and you inspired it for sure! It was a work in progress for about 2 years but I finally got it done! Keep up the good work and can't wait for your next video. Thanks Marcus

  24. The paid Intel ad, inferior performance, inferior value Nice!

  25. People that hate Upscalers don't have to hold on to GPUs for half a decade at a time IMO. Maybe not. DLSS has been a god send on keeping my games running fairly smooth for my aging graphics card.

  26. 70-80 frames feels like SHIIIIIT

  27. Lame click bait. Not like I'm surprised, clicked anyways for S and grins…still wondering how I'm being "lied to".

  28. I don’t like the extra bumpers all my cars have nvidea

  29. So who is lying? I didn't see any lies. {*ETA Ah! In the comments! I see, yes. I agree) I don't feel at all misled by the firms. I certainly feel more misled by, say, McDonald's adverts versus the actual stodge they sell you. I don't get all this grievance mongering.

On framegen, maybe worth noting the 1st extra frame is more costly for latency than the 3rd (though they all aggregate, of course).

  30. I think multi frame gen is an amazing feature. Sure for multiplayer games I would rather turn everything down and get real frames but in single player games, especially the raytraced games, multiframe gen is the only way I could fully use a 240 hz 4k monitor. Also using a controller solves the issue.

  31. Using dlss is just generating "fake" frames by their AI, so ofc we are all being lied to. But that won't stop those that have enough money in purchasing it.

  32. DLSS 4 is insane. At 4k you'd be stupid to not use it. It's literally identical to native or better in some titles. Previous generations of dlss are fairly mediocre tho.

  33. "misled, even lied to" what's the difference lol

  34. I don't want to be rude or disrespectful, but just because you've assembled a few computers, do you think you're an expert on everything?
Do you own a processor company?
    Do you manufacture chips?
    Do you manufacture graphics cards?
    Are you a software developer?
You're just reading the written materials that well-established companies in the computer industry send you when they release products.

This video contains no useful information for us. You wasted our time with your sponsored ad. All the other nonsense you talked about is already covered in articles published on AMD and NVIDIA's own websites about DLSS, FS4, and XESS.

Even if you asked ChatGPT, it would give you the same answer.

  35. I like MFG

  36. badly timed upload because the new amd driver now allows games that support 3.1 to support fsr 4 now

  37. What driver is everyone running on there 5090. Whats the best

  38. And similar to FSR, there is a different XESS on Intel cards versus the XESS that works also on AMD and Nvidia cards.
And completely agree, don't turn on Frame Gen if your native frame rate isn't at least 80-90.

  39. Using DLSS 4 on BF 2042 = -20 FPS if I use any other preset other than last 2 latest I get them back , yeah the picture looks better but not by much I hope I can force older presets on the newer games coming out. Nvidia AP is complete garbage that will also tank your FPS they nerfing trying to get everyone on the 50 series but I'll stay with my 4080 S

  40. I have liked DLSS since day 1. Since I bought my 4070 Ti in April 2023. Fuck the haters they probably run AMD/old ass NVidia cards (1660 TI lol)

  41. For me FG X2 is always perfect. 3x i almost never use, and 4x has too much lag and too much waviness on the outside of the screen

  42. Granted, the marketing wasn't the best, but this 50 series is incredible and DLSS is a game changing tech that enhanced the experience greatly. Even FG is great

  43. Frame Generation(FG) is worthless on lower end cards. It's only good when you have a higher end GPU, say a 4070 Ti Super/5070 Ti + cards. Where your "real" frames are high enough to start using it. For me personally, anything below 80 FPS feels like garbage. So If I was forced to play at a locked 60 frames per second, or use FG to get to 120(from that base of 60). I will always choose the native/real 60 frames per second. I can feel the added latency instantly. Who knows, maybe Reflex 2 will change things, or eventually the AI cores will be so advanced so we won't notice a thing. But right now when I buy a new GPU in the price range that I can afford (800-850$), real raster performance is what I'm looking at. Then it's the quality of upscaling/rt performance. While FAKE frames are dead last on my list of worries.
