There have been several channels that died off when sold or the main "character" passed away. We sub for the original creator, not the pll they hire.

LTT may be a little different with the various onscreen personalities, but there have been channels where one person was the face of the channel and many end up tanking once the person leaves.

How about making partners out of your best hosts so they stop fucking off!? I thought working at LTT seemed cushy, but with the recent departures, obviously it's not all good in the hood. I think once they've become a host, they should get conditional stock options (or a special stock class) and residuals from the videos they acted in. The longer they stay, the better it is for them.

This is a garage take. The only reason LTT is relevant is because folks come to see what Linus thinks about something. The moment he steps back this whole thing goes crashing down. It's the problem with Social Media Brands, everything is creator centered. Nothing they are doing will matter the moment Linus decides he is done.

Linus shouldn’t have transitioned into whatever this “Chief Vision Officer” role is supposed to be, it just doesn’t work that way. The channel is called Linus Tech Tips and the company is Linus Media Group. Linus is the face of the brand, and that’s never going to change, even long after he is gone.
I started digging into this after hearing that Jake, Alex, and Andy left the channel, and I found out that 3–4 channels have been scrapped. Honestly, if I were a rational YouTuber, I wouldn’t have shut those down. You have 100–120 employees. Couldn’t those channels have been handed over to their respective hosts, making them fully responsible for the content and budget—basically like the CEO of that channel? That way, you could rotate people when needed and ensure each channel survives and thrives. And please stop doing so much of sponsored content. You are not shooting for the idiot box, for Christ sake!
You don’t need someone who’s just “equipped to run an organization.” You need someone who can lead a group of individuals, trust them, and have faith in their abilities.
