the removal of dislikes probably wont effect me much. they only time I use it is when a video is so incorrect or lying as far as i can tell. which isnt that comment.

There are people who are taking a short time in the evening to watch a few videos and maybe honestly tick like or dislike. There are other people, likely teenagers or later, who have the spare time to sit an watch lots of videos and alternate IDs they can use to dislike bomb or like bomb messages. With politically charged issue that leads to the latter group drowning out the former group. This is not a good thing. On the other hand your videos, for example, are not likely to irritate the latter class of viewers as it is not particularly political.
The dislike button should be under contributor control for his or her channel, period.
BTW – re LTT store ads, search for "controversial sears underware ads". Seems they blew it on page 602 of the 1975 catalog. (I wish I'd saved the copy I had. Today it might be priceless.)

45:30 – Yes, that thing with the 2 drives on Windows install where the boot partition would end up on the second drive happened to me once. And yes, fixing it was voodoo magic. I ended up reinstalling because it just caused me too many other issues. That was Windows 7 BTW.
I think that the conversation about this you tube change is completely different if you are a women, PoC, a member of LGBTQ+ community or any other minority – Linus and Luke seem to think that majority of dislikes are given in good faith and I tend to disagree.
When we only see the up-votes and not the down-votes, the up-votes are totally senseless at all for the user.
It's a mistake they can easily afford because there is no competition for YouTube. It's the only platform of its kind in the west.
A hammer is a tool. You can build a house with that tool, or hit yourself in the dick.
When I try to work through WHY youtube would remove the dislike, it comes back to the money. The money they get from showing advertisements. The reasons they gave seem like they came up with them after the initial decision, because now you have to actually spend some time to figure out if the video is a waste of time or not, so you will see ads if you do not block them.
Youtube be like: Choosing easy mode. Removing dislikes. lol get fucked.
Ohhhhh! I'm really looking forward to that "Last PC Build Guide" then!! There are so many little things about parts comparability when you're trying to build your own rig that it's overwhelming to try to optimize your setup (so you don't end up with bizarre problems like my current rig has) and I honestly just feel like I can't even tell where to start with figuring all of that out. It sounds like your guide will be just the thing I've been hoping for!
