Comments

  1. Torvalds is correct! And the weird Elon fans pops in the comments like a game of Whack-A-Mole

  2. The last line is like fillet steak

  3. It's always morally correct to bully Elon Musk

  4. Oh @veritasium the phone networks Dr. Trovalds ….? A Samurai sword? The World of Dr. Trovald! How much does the Linux kernel do today? For every one?

  5. 😂😂😂

  6. that one moment when all maintainers and developers of Linux agree with Torvalsa

  7. Guess that's the difference between knowing what you are doing vs being lucky enough to play at it because you were lucky enough to have a load of daddy's money behind you

  8. I honestly cant believe that a guy like Elon wouldn't know that the least code for a task is always better. Rather than code, Im sure what he meant was tasks, not the code. Saying that for the laymen. He's a tech guy first and foremost.

  9. Love Linus bluntness 😂

  10. So people get punished for writing elegant and efficient code?

  11. Monney talks poor poeple yap

  12. Alex mahan and piratesoftware gotta crunching those lines of code

  13. 6 months of Torvalds' work is what now powers every supercomputer in the world.

  14. If god say it is bs… It is! period

  15. "Did I stutter?" Ahh energy

  16. Seriously, does Dr. Trovalds want a stock in the Us market? Maybe he is a Dr. I don't even know? Eye'm a ninja! Get lost with you samurais!

  17. Elon Musk wasn't wrong for wanting to cut out waste. He just went about it the wrong way if LoC was his only metric. Which is what the news seems to suggest but I highly doubt it.

  18. Everyone is slowly realizing, Elon Musk is a fake smart guy.

  19. So elon wants 1000 lines to do what 80 lines can do ? And he was ”in charge of efficiency”? I think its clear now why he did not succeed

  20. He's absolutely correct though.

  21. He was in fact NOT spot on. He IS however, ignorant. Good for him. Hope he stays that way. 😂

  22. He didnt stutter

  23. God I love Linus

  24. He's correct, yes

  25. If your job is to write code…

  26. Musk comes out with such stupid things but also quite profound things as well but he's only judged by those whom disagree with whatever particular thing he's saying at the time. Disregarding someone entirely because of 1 thing they said that you don't agree with is part why the human race holds itself back. Some of the people disregarded have value in other areas.

  27. Nothing accidental about it.

  28. Oh I like him that is both funny and absolutely correct.

  29. What does he do on your show man!!!!!!

  30. What they’re failing to mention is there was a large portion of people paid to code that didn’t code… that’s the point, they wanted the bare minimum of people who did their job and it was turned into “that’s not a metric used to find good coders”… that was as ignorant as what he claims Elon to be.

  31. Can someone enlighten me? Any context?

  32. The Idiot Trillionaire Elon Musk….okay buddy have a cry about Kamala later.

  33. This one's weird because I distinctly remember an interview where Elon said that lines of code is not a good metric for a project's complexity

  34. Spot on

  35. Linus Torvalds is the best! I love this man! What he has done for the world is the underrated, barely understood most, and very unappreciated – criminally so in all aspects.

  36. thank god there’s normal people in the video and in the comments. hard to find Musks name anywhere online without an army of bots telling you he’s daddy

  37. At one company I work for i was very proud that i deleted double the amount of lines than I wrote

  38. Can't dissagree with that.
