Despite chat asking why Dan isn't also a co-owner, I love the guy but I think people forget he's only produced the show since 2023 lol.
That said, the first WAN show was 2013 – this means it took 12 years for Luke to get co ownership. Therefore, if Dan keeps producing for 12 years (2035), at that point I think you gotta cut him in 😉

BTW. Got my laptop in August, so did my neighbor. Something pushed me to convince him that we max out the ram, and get 4TB ssd. laptop was 1000 Euro, around 450 ssd and ram. Hearing prices now is insane. And I share sentiment towards Nvidia that OG Linus once expressed. Fedora Linux (KDE Plasma) treats me well. I've got ssd cause win 11 was on the one that came with laptop so… I guess I have 1TB ssd from crucial/micron to sell XD
I personally have repeatedly gotten recommendations for AI Warhammer channels pushed on me extremely hard. I have repeatedly pressed the "not interested" and "do not recommend this channel" buttons multiple times but they still are about 40% of my warhammer feed if I click on the tab. It's ridiculously frustrating because I like to listen to WarHammer lore while I sleep so I'm usually really tired when I'm looking for a video. I have listened to the full catalogues of multiple human channels and it genuinely feels like I'm running out of human made videos.
It feels like there's an extra layer of irony/comedy to the fact that AI slop seems to be so prevalent in the WarHammer lore space of all places. Feels like Mormons opening a Starbucks competitor.
My 5800x3d is looking pretty good right now. At $400 brand new. Lol. Ironically I had a 5600x to start so I bought 3600mhz cl14 ram. Paid less than now, even though I bought it after the global pandemic

Guys is it just me or individual shielded cables is just plain wrong in EE terms? First why would you shield power or ground cables? Second the differential pair should be twisted together then shielded it's even better for signal integrity and costs less with less thickness
Yes, in Australia, doing ANY electrical work not through an electrician is a no-no, same with plumbing. Instantly voids any building insurance. All dwelling extensions must also be engineered and approved by certifiers and local councils.
Concerning older hardware. Until this summer I ran an i7-4770 and a GTX 980Ti that I got second hand in like 2020 for around 350 bucks. This summer I upgraded to a 5800X3D and a RTX 3080. Upgrad cost me like 700 Bucks but I now also have 32 GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD (which is double what I had previously). Tjat rig runs so nicely and lets me play whatever game I want at 1440p. Doing it this way was always heavily inspired by Scrapeyard Wars and I love that series.

My laptop is an i7 7th gen and a 940MX. There are so many older games and tricks like Nvidia Image Sharpening that I can't cry about not being able to run the latest games. Been playing Control, Zenless Zone Zero, Forza Horizon 3 and more
Toilet phones used to be a lot more common. While people did use em to make calls when in the bathroom. It was a safety thing. Before we didnt all used to always have a phone in our pockets. So it was meant to be in case u slipped and fell in the bathroom or having a medical emergency, you could call someone.

I am on the Italy side and not on the apple side with the tracking. Linus completely missed the point of the fine. It was not that Apple forced to ask for the consent, but that Apple forced some of the apps to ask twice, while allowed others to ask only once. That was the main difference and that is 100% anti competitive practice, make some apps to feel like more pushy then others.
Would 100% buy Reboot remastered whenever it's available for distribution. Physical copy, right now. Take my money (I'm a few years older than Linus, but Reboot was my jam)
I run a 9900k and a 3080 from 2020. It’s playing all games perfectly. Over 5 years lifetime. Today you don’t need to upgrade every generation. If I compare to my 2007 system, a Q6600 quad core with a Radeon 4870, that lasted 3 years. After that it could not play the latest AAA games. If I go back to my Pentium 133, that would be obsolete in 12 months. People act as if the ddr5 crisis lasting 1 year is a natural disaster. Just wait longer and use older hardware in the meantime
I have 4 kids, all boys, all one year apart. I told them they could have PC's when they turned 13. They all run DDR4 GTX 1080 rigs. that's all I could afford making 4 rigs that close together.
