Comments

  1. Note that at 1:25 we listed the monitor as: 21" x 9". This should be listed as "21:9", good ol' CES week

  2. Is it worth it to upgrade from an oled to qd oled? I have the 2024 model of the 39 inch lg ultragear oled. Would i be happier with a smaller regular size 34 inch qd oled? Just saying i only paid $400 for my lg oled too.

  3. Linus i doubt youll respond to me but you should try the new anno pax game. Its awesome. Give manor lords a shot too. Its just like it but better. The story isnt there yet on manor lords but the mechanics and visuals are amazing.

  4. Why 1440p and not 4K 😢

  5. Watching this on an IPS panel at 144p goes even harder 🔥

  6. That sensor would be better of it went to standby/sleep instead of shutting down

  7. really need to start the video with the $1500 price tag to lower expectations of normal people ever obtaining one

  8. imagine being a tech youtuber / journalist and being numb, insensitive to text fringing which is so incredibly bad on non-4k OLEDs. You never highlight any actual problems with stuff, just get sponsored and say everything is great. OLEDs have so many issues that most major channels just don't cover at all.

  9. When im a millionare ill let you know

  10. I like how Plouff is like us normal people with normal salaries, weighing the pros and cons of actually buying a monitor like this. The mental debate out loud about how if he actually needs it, but really wants it is funny. Plouff, you want it, widescreen is so good. Ultra widescreen is even better!

  11. bruh i'm looking at this exact model rn wtf? perfect video to watch while wondering if i should buy this monitor. nvm this is more hertz but it's exactly the same type.

  12. Wait. The oleds are only H2 hardness???? That explains a lot.

  13. It's hard to beat my experience with a 55 inch OLED on my desk, using fancyzones to make whatever screen size I need. Usually I game in ultrawide with it. I've got 2 different sized ultrawide set up, but I can also do a quite large 2560×1440 screen if I want.

  14. @3:53 a note for an edior : " who this" , can we please have a name card for this cute presentor.

  15. Why are length of video decreasing

  16. I've been using 2 monitors for the last 2 years, an older Asus IPS LED and a 1st gen QD-OLED Alienware 34". I was taking very good care of my Alienware because of the possiblity of burn-in, so I wasn't able to utilize it for productivity, only gaming and movies which I find myself doing less and less on it. So as long as burn-in is a potential issue, I'm done with QD-OLED. I don't need another needy in my life.
Then it so happened that my Alienware died unexpectedly after only 2 years of sparse and careful use and I replaced it with a (by today standard's) dirt cheap 50" TCL Mini-LED TV on my desk. I have to admit I was afraid of viewing such a large display up close, and all that comes with it being a TV instead of a monitor: the general image quality/HDR quality/color accuracy/input latency/lack of GSync.
But honestly, this thing just amazing. Incredible screen real estate, very good input latency in Game Mode, very good colors and black levels and more than decent image quality considering I'm looking at 4K at 50" up close. The only glaring (haha) issue is glare because of the shiny coating but I'm already getting used to it and it bothers me less and less every day. And I don't really need a secondary monitor – although I did eventually get a 14" portable display just to have something to display something else on in case I need it (eg. when I'm fullscreen gaming on my TV). With the TCL on its stand, the 14" is small enough not to block out any part of the TV screen.
So while I really like this new MSI and will always long after what QD-OLED can do, I'm very happy with my TV right now and would not think about replacing it for anything else.

  17. I have the last gen of this but it lacks 80gb displayport, so this could be a mild upgrade

That random RGB squiggle light on the wall is hideous holy shit

  18. @1:07 Monitor Man sad , we all sad

  19. i got an MSI oled last month and the nipple didn't turn it on, i thought i got a lemon and it took me like 3 minutes to figure it out.
