They need to do what they did in 2017 when they made their I7 competitor an 8-core. Now they need to make the next-gen Ryzen 7 a 12-core, or at least a 10-core.
Can AMD make CPUs without the "AI" part almost no one cares about and sell more ? Yes, definitively yes ! Will they admit and do it ? No 🙁

I can't help but wonder how much better of a GPU part they could include in their processors if they just removed the NPU and used that space for more GPU cores.

I dont care about these CPUs at all or any Hardware, its just not obtainable for the normal human anymore.
What do flashy new CPUs are usefull for if I have to pay more then a car for the amount for the DDR5 memory I need when upgrading from a DDR4 system.
What AMD and Intel should do is release new DDR4 platforms, this is a joke. Do they really expect that there buyers for these?

The most annoying part of this is a complete vacuum in handheld hardware. The move to offer lower core count options for Strix Halo, in fact, seems to be a tacit admission that they've got nothing, so here's a stupidly expensive part you can use that may not be quite as stupidly expensive anymore, you filthy animals. The whole thing honestly is just no shits given. Really sad to see.
