6 year old game runs low to medium with frame gen on laptop. hmm
Actually, Apple is pricing themselves out of existence right now. The first couple years they definitely stirred up the market by being extremely price competitive with far superior performance per watt and overall nicer hardware. But now we're looking at $2500 for the cheapest 16" MBP. That's a big jump. And 1800 for a 15" Macbook Air with 24 gigs of memory and 1TB storage. That's a lot of money compared to the new lineup of Intel devices.

Lunar Lake was especially great at low-power and idle workloads, so saying that Panther Lake is 50% more efficient in multi-core (which means, under full load) is not all indicative of real world battery life.
If anything, it hints at a likely reduction in battery life.
it's just a Refresh,right? Dont forget: there was a long time there Intel was Leader on market due to corruption. We ,as costumers, should show this to Intel with not bying stuff from them.

We are still blown away by laptops running last gen games in low settings? FML man, windows ecosystem is stagnating so hard
this is nice to see. ultra 2 was a bit of a let down but definitely gained a lot of ground against amd's ryzen. and now it seems that they will be at least at parity with ryzen which is a stellar position to be in. if i had the money i'd grab a core ultra 5 from these new chips and let it happily drown in my system, just to see how much it'll take before bogging down.

i think the touch pad is slightly too big, if someone uses that laptop for gaming might increases sound by mistake the laptop has great specs but they should have made touch pad slighlty smaller
