What a disaster
You guys know there a setting in chatgpt which, when turned on, effectively prevents it from trying to praise and butter you up every time, and makes it actually respond in a more clinical strict tone? Idk if there's a similar config in other systems, but I usually just start a chat with "<Help me with this thing>. Please keep a strict and scientific conversation tone without unnecessary praise or other emotional undertones" and it works about as well
24:56 when the iPad kid in the background comments on their parents 🤣
Wait, "fanny" does not have that lady meaning everywhere in the English speaking world? I thought you call them fanny packs BECAUSE they make you look like…
I heard about how podcasts are nice to fall asleep tho
1:12:46 "10 peoppe abreast on a couch, going at it" oh linus😂
Could've not left it on in the backpack.
Could've pulled it out, turned it on, and THEN talked about it to give it time to turn on, by the time you're done describing the laptop, it's on.
I honestly thought the laptop was a joke. Oh man, sorry you had a real tech malfunction.
I listened to wan show to fall asleep. The guy in the back got the real life version
On the cables, it wasn't until HDMI 2.1 that I realised how hard hunting for cables that actually meet the full spec is, even with good customer reviews because it worked for their use case. I needed a cable that was at the max of the length spec to go from my office PC through the wall to my living room TV and have it deliver 4k, 120hz, HDR and Dolby Atmos over eARC. 5 cables later and I found the one that worked. 3 of the others had signal drop out even without Atmos, 1 was fine without Atmos and I just thought it was a bug somewhere else in the chain at that point with eARC sometimes being a mess. But one more cable and it actually fully worked.
I'm in the UK, so I won't buy just a cable with the shipping unfortunately. But if I want something else with a shipping promo again or the EU distribution centre happens some day, I'm so in.
2:38:12 Luke, I know you don't live on the internet, but there are riots and "protests" happening that do, in fact, want to "defund the police." The idea has not gone away. I don't blame Luke for not knowing this, because the concept of defunding the police is so absurd that it's hard to believe. Only the most outrageously privileged and un-knowledgeable would actually push such a thing. So it is still a thing and it is still stupid.
Don’t know what it is about tech but all of it seems to demo sensors built in. Had tech work perfectly pre demo but as soon as the client walks in it breaks.😢
Sammy in the background like the toddler who gets an Ipad in the restaurant when the parents want to talk 😂
1:14:41: Sammy waking up and pretending he was awake, then dropping the "is it because my eyes are small?" was a beautiful WAN Show moment… followed by Luke's laughter.
Two weeks ago I got the MSI Ventus 3 5070ti for 759€. MSRP in EU is 879€. It’s sold out since then. Currently there are still some other 5070ti cards under EU MSRP available.
Let's be honest, even if it worked perfectly, Lenovo was going to sell like 100 of that laptop.
It's like a concept car that technically gets sold, but you don't really know who's buying it.
So does the dude in the bed have anything to do with LTT or did they just have to share a room for whatever reason? One of those multiple bed per room hostels??

56:45 I'm one of those people. I run my 4k monitor at 720p with all the settings maxed out, and it gives games a modern gaming feeling but retro style graphics to them. And by that I mean how I remember games looking in my youth not the actual crappy graphics I got, just not pixel perfect graphics we get now and that's great because modern games come with modern nice things like open world exploration, graphics that render to the distance, actual key binding options that make sense, even native joypad support on the PC side.
I'm currently having a blast playing No Man's Sky at 720p and it looks properly retro. It doesn't work with every game, but for the games that nail that gameplay that falls into that retro style of game play as well, it's hard to beat.

I put probably a thousand hours into Civilization II.
The gun smuggle issue kinda sounds like the drugs smuggle issue the US uses ….
lol i literally watched the clip right before starting stream
Just in case, your segment on the Tonight Show got 10 times more views than a segment with Jason (650k vs 65k) and 5 times more than the comedian…
putting the bag on the bed? My wife would be mortified haha
Haven't heard a single song from that alleged Rap partner.
15:05 Instatly thought of Achievement Hunter's "Uno: The movie" lol
So, its classic "Windows cannot sleep properly" issue. Microsoft should be ashamed.
I died inside watching that and I know it was 1/1000th of what Linus felt
The laptop has stage fright I guess 😂
Yeah don't care about jimmy failing.
Min/maxing stardew valley is totally how I play it lol
I can't tell you how many times a company's product not working made me look foolish. I truly felt bad for you on that one. I know exactly what that's like.
There's been more than once that I've had to tell customers that I really do know what I'm doing. 😅😅
With all the early presentations by Bill Gates and every other "Tech Bro", the flashy presentation has to fail and making the boss looking confused or worse. Bill pushes the button and the computer crashes type thing..
So Linus never really brought the products and he was just a presenter? That''s kinda lame behind the curtain stuff.
1:36:00 years ago when i was heading to work before i got my drivers someone asked me to if i could cash a GST check and give them cash but i wasn't sure about so i just told them i didn't have time.
Jimmy is a pro, so of course he saved it. You are not the first and not the last guest who had some sort of issues, this happens all the time, no need to beat yourself about it, Linus!
so it was a kind of performance anxiety lol
Microsoft sidewinder X4 keyboard 👌🏻 Daily 8 hour gaming use for 10+ years. For 20$
I farted at 36:15
1:32:13 yeah, we call them bum bags in Australia.
Wait till Linus learns how big upstate NY is
this was even better than your last appearance. things happen. i thought it was really funny
"are you gonna recast Fallon?" One can only dream…
Thanks for the video
With Eric Adams, the illegitimate income came from earlier, during his time in office and it took several forms, some more publicly known and verified than others (along with his extensive corruption). I do suspect that one of those stems from his relationships with the current US admin and several crypto tycoons. He did them favors and ultimately ceded the race to Cuomo to give him – and the administration and many wealthy stake holders in NYC, including crypto bros, Trump, Adelson etc. – the best shot they could get at stopping Mamdani. I wouldn't be surprised if the people who "lost" here were those people and this was how Adams actually got the money.
I am from outside the US, so I don't get the appeal of the tonight's show.
They aren't interviewing Linus, they bring him in to show a tech circus of sorts. And a bad one at that- an ewaste lollipop, a bluetooth speaker, an impractical prototype laptop and a robo vaccum.
I am sure there are way more things with interesting party tricks at LMG warehouses that are small enough to carry.
I bet you could tell NBC to donate your payment to a charity…
I wish they would look at inventory for D&H and not B&H.. there is both us and CA warehouses for tech.
I personally love the new Anno (and have made over 30 mods for it, though mostly small things) but you should wait 6-12 months if you want to play multiplayer at all. They were very ambitious in making the multiplayer more flexible, but its very buggy and there's constant complaints about problems with it like desyncs, not being able to get saves to load properly, and losing progress due to save issues. Even as someone who only plays single player there's little bugs all over the place that just need more time to be fixed.
The game is a classic example of being released too early and needing another 6-12 months to polish it up and finish things properly. I still think it's an extremely good start to what should be years of support that should be less clunky than 1800, which they never intended to support for so long.
