Comments

  1. Supreme commander!!!! It still rocks!!!

  2. dude toys aren't why people are mad, its wages and the essentials, like a place to live. I feel like the "qq tech expensive" crowd is very small. You can play games without a 5090, obviously. You have seen the steam hardware survey.

  3. 13:58 Is this the Max0r? The one who completely overedits his videos? ^^

  4. Oh great, we can get better TV's while we starve to death.

  5. We are not mad about the prices. We are mad because of the reason behind the price hike. The Fucking AI which costs our job and still haunting our happiness by making price hike in Every fuckin tech that we need. 😢

  6. I've said it before, and I'll say it again. Gaming hardware is pure luxury items. You don't need them. Be mad at the cartels pushing up prices on the stuff you can't be without, and just step away from the FOMO cycle the tech manufacturers want you to take part in.

  7. Copium – The Movie

  8. The ending of rovlab sofa is so soothing to watch

  9. My brother in christ, X80 tier Nvidia cards used to cost around $600-700 AUD, now the cheapest 4080 is $1600 AUD. That is absolutely inflation.

  10. In this economy, I use my totally gpu bound gtx 1650 laptop and my ps2 with an old plasma tv as a monitor, and will be for years unless the powerball has anything to say lmfao

  11. So we are past denial, and anger and onto bargaining in the five stages of grief.

  12. Thank you✨

  13. I always watch the WAN show. So, I know LTT really tries, but I think you guys are kinda disconnected from the community.. I mean, nobody is crying because a 5090 is 5000$.. We literally laughed at Nvidia for it, We know is not for most of us, people are happy if they can play their favorite game at 30fps.. We are mad that we can't get a basic entry-level 5060 at a reasonable price, or now with the RAM situation? That even affects some basic ass HDD/SSD is even worst.
And we should be mad because the reason is so painfully dumb and transparent.. And the only ones that will win here are the suits.. And NO. the business NEVER "came through for us" Wdym? Let's not be that naive man.. They did it because they had to sell, and nobody was buying. literally the first lesson in any economics class..

As a fan of LTT and mostly a positive person, I do appreciate the video, but man, most of the points you guys made, idk.. It rubs the wrong way.. haha

  14. While I might fixate on being unhappy I could never get an Analogue NT for SNES games, my favorite era, I did get the Analgue3D and am pretty stoked that for someone like me who isn't fussed about 'complete in box' or manuals for every game, I've been grabbing heaps of N64 games for some pretty great prices. AU$40- for Banjo Kazooie, AU$28 for Hybrid Heaven, AU$12 for Cruisin USA, AU$ for Mission Impossible.

    Good fun

  15. On the topic of negativity, the wan show is basically Linus's therapy session. I don't want someone else's baggage when I tune into a podcast

  16. You are poor if you can't afford a ram in 2026😅

  17. Segue to Pingu?

  18. How I learned to stop worrying and love the bubble

  19. Keeping my PS4 until further notice.

  20. This might one of the great videos they have ever made, it's like all there brains are working together.

  21. Regarding that USB C situation, it was completely due to regulations. If companies weren't forced they would still use proprietary everything. Especially the big companies where people wouldn't have the alternative to actually vote with their consuming practices. People forget that these big corpus will do absolutely anything in their power that they can to squeeze a little bit of money and enforce their own brand.

There's a lot of things in tech that are only good because of EU and Australia regulations

  22. Even before the RAM prices went higher, I've been wanting games to be better optimized, mainly for space, for a while. If the game needs to have individual textures larger than most affordable screens can display at their full quality, why not just compress them with any of the multiple lossless formats, like PNG or SVG? How about sub-sampling the base textures for the LoDs by skipping every other row and column? Same for audio with AAC, MP3, and OGG among the options. Not many will be noticing compression artifacts when many sounds are playing at the same time. Instead of having all of a game downloaded, why not put the pre-rendered videos on a physical medium to stream in as necessary, even if that's all there is on it, beyond the barcode quantity of download code? Shortening or removing the loading times too, by allocating a section of RAM to each area for a seamless transition, rather than clearing and refilling all of it every time. I could go on, but I think I made my point.

  23. So because we have it good, we should be okay having it worse going forward? wtf

  24. Linus Excuses Tips

  25. There is a flip side to all these arguments, that of course buying old tech, old software I'm comparing it to the new prices for the same performance a sort of a moot point as technology always advances.

But there is a flip side to this, you can also buy the old hardware or software now and MUCH cheaper thatn new stuff all while the enjoyment is the same. Or greater.

I am a huge advocate for purchasing used components. I have bought maybe like 50 to 70 items used and I've never been scammed. Share this requires a little bit of common Sense and knowledge about PC components, but I can build a machine for 200 Euros that can run Witcher 3 on high settings possibly even 1440p. A game that still looks better than majority of the games releasing nowadays.

  26. Hi there and thanks for the Video, yes its frustrating to watch the 5th Youtuber how He Shows of His 5090 matrix. To be honest, then make Videos about what we can do right now, it dosent Help me to See something i might get in 5 years, at that time i already forgot everything and dont Look it Up again. Dont Focus on halo products (thats my Wish). And If the AI boom is over i will build my own new PC and try to only use parts from Brands that dosnt screw us right now (Like Corsair or micron).

  27. a whole lot of bs talk. a gtx titan was around 1000 in 2013. if i buy the same class of card today its 3000+

  28. Supreme commander mentioned

    Hell yeahhh

  29. i have a box of ddr4 & ddr5.. ram use to be so cheap like 80$ for a 32gb kit. id stop at the canada computer in guilford and just buy random stuff. im not going to sell it but it does feel nice to have a box of expensive nonsense. i feel like Smaug from the Hobbit.

  30. Video Games' target Baseline 15th Gen hardware design is hands down too overspec'd and poorly optimized, it's a stutter-fest. (MH WIlds, Borderlands 4 etc)
Designing target 4th Gen below Hardware Video Games still forever reigns supreme. (Warframe, Silksong, War thunder, Cabal Online, PSO2NGS and other best optimized games for midrange hardware etc )

  31. This riley ad is fire, I honestly couldnt figure out what it was an ad for in the beginning, but that just made it feel like a more real skit making the ad feel less forced, good shit

  32. 8:09 Do you not get paid sick leave??

  33. tuff

  34. just get richer 4Head

  35. Was the audio a bit off in this one? At least Linus's and Elijah's voice sounded somewhat hollow and echo-y, others sounded alright though. Quite huge difference when listening on headphones and threw me off a bit right from the start.

Very important topic though, not all is bad in the world.

  36. Did you just compare tech prices from 2000 and 1993 to today ? What the fuck is that argument ?!
