I built a custom shed roof out of Azek when I had my PC on the floor. I was pretty paranoid about it because I always have a jar of water or a drink right there.
I have washed any where up to 20 or more motherboards keyboards and well a few old fans that stank in the sink with a brush and dishsoap snd hot water funny to see you shake it off as i do the same but with much more energy lol I think you do too off camera 😅. 4 to 6 hours with a blow dryer to help is on par with me. Love it when people see me do this for first time …im a mad man.

I remember spilling a McAllan whiskey with cola over my computer around 20 years ago … I drank from the gpu … But just put everything in rice, pc still worked for more then 5 years

This is why you NEVER have liquids near your electronics. They dont like sugary cokes as much as you do.

I place my PC under the table so my drink doesn't spill directly on it
Why throw away away the PSU ? Why not clean it up like the rest of the stuff.

If you spell something sugary isopropyl alcohol is not really recommended. Distilled water is A LOT better at quickly desolving the sugar

I'm glad that my PC is UNDER a desk. About two decades ago, we got a desk that has a spot under the table on the right side where the two legs turn into four with a shelf for a pc tower. Helps a lot
Step 1: don’t get liquid in your pc
I spilled white claw in my rig. i did follow the first 3 steps. I didn't bother with the cmos battery but i did clean my cpu cable and connector with 99% iso alcohol and emptied like 2 cans of canned air trying to dry everything off. That was a month ago and so far so good.
