It's exactly what I want but the subscription.
An upgrade to this is expandable storage. More raw power, and the option to buy games.
I believe the reason the memory storage isn't expandable and that you can't buy the games is due to jail breaking and piracy.

For a video that could potentially appeal to a family audience/kids to learn about this device, there were sure a lot of unnecessary sexual themes comments. Between this and the Leena Khan comments, Linus seems to be either sexually frustrated or in need of better material.

I joked around if how this is "Baby's first gaming experience," but looking at what it is that joke actually makes sense. You can give this to young children and they will have a blast, then when they outgrow it, you can sell it or give it to a family member with young kids of their own, cancel the subscription, and buy them a proper console/PC.

We lived long enough to see them reinvent the "EyeToy: Play" from the PS2 and add a forced subscription fee to it.
If it's for small children and casual players, there's like a million cheaper, one-time-payment options to get this sort of experience.
PlayStation 2 could do that in 2003 without an NPU …

I asked for this as a Christmas gift this past year. It's fantastic! I did hope to use it more to get some exercise as it's something I struggle with as a stay-at-home-mom. My lifelong gamer husband uses this so much more than me. He played either Guitar Hero or Rock Band a lot and now plays Starri a lot. I think he noticed the latency early on but it doesn't seem to bother him. I hope that as my 3-year-old gets a bit older that she will enjoy the games on this console and that it will help us be active at times where the weather makes it hard to get outside.
This thing reminds me of the Eyetoy on PS2
Be a cool idea if some1 could hack it to run Kinect games etc ! i like the size and style of it. Plus Subscription for games sucks!
