For asbestos removal being so expensive really limits who can aford to have it removed and potentially effect their health, I think there should be a government assistance to help reduce the price of removal (if it's a primary residence, if you're flipping then pay for it yourself)
I casually quit every subscription streaming service with ONE exception. Thalia Audiobooks is a german subscription AND you can download your audiobooks and get one free audiobook every month. love it!
just put these as collabs, what's the point of having them twice on the feed?
Wont subscribe to new WAN channel unless clips are gone
Apple probably only listen to their echo chamber, who will have told them the laptop wasn't sexy and high powered and the usual expensive exclusive stuff they would want.
Finally, apple have been played by their own snobbishness. The neo is great and they messed up the launch.
1:06:08 Limux failed bc MS moved their headquarters and like that also their taxes to Munich. The Schleswig-Holstein path is much more reasonable and currently ongoing.
I like how I subscribe to the new channel and LTT's Wan show is still the one being offered by the algorithm, oh well…
As a diehard Mac user…the App Store is a measure of last resort. Getting the direct download from the actual vendor is my default.
Installers are stupid, and that’s why we drag and drop to install. It’s a one step confirmation, and conveys the absence of BS install steps. Plenty of apps just download the app itself without the fun disk image. But then you have to find your Applications folder yourself. The drag and drop image is a convenience. Also, partially a holdover from CD/DVD distribution too, btw.
I would be very sad to stop watch WAN after a decade but as someone who uses the subscription feed I cannot deal with channels spamming content. Hence I cannot subscribe to the new WAN channel in the current form
can we get artemis 3 to be sponsored by blender
The outside dimensions is all I need for my hobby projects
Cooling is not the issue, perfomance are not the issue, RAM is, 8gb in 2026 is crazy low
Hey guys did you know that the 2024 US elections were stolen? It's the Mormon white horse prophecy. The Melchizedek priesthood will restore order. LDS end of times.
if that word was "Mageia" at 1:03:10, it means magic in greek I guess.
edit : It's spelled ma-yee-a
Aviation is like this cause that little light bulb is built to specifications and the company who makes it can be held liable if the bulb would cause a fire on the plane and thus possibly causing it to crash.
1:23:56 I also thought of buying when it was bellow 20$, that kid who spent his grandma inheritance on intel looks happy.
rick astley is not funny or difficult
06:10 – should be mentioned that betterdisplay is a paid app and a subscription, and its extremely expensive. On mac you need many tiny app subscriptions like this to make it usable. MacOS is horrible and a different hell than windows, but still an hell.
There are thermally conductive silicons available, one use case is in Phone coolers such as the ROG Aeroactive cooler which in principle as an add on device to cool a mobile chip while adding IO is basically the same use case
Apple is moving the same path as microsoft, just more slowly. They are adding slop, popup ads for their services, and all the usual lock in ecosystem apps. Chosing Apple over windows is going from one hell to another.
its most likely gendbuntu as that is the one frances police uses (its ubuntu based) it split in 2001
1:09:09 the AI summary was brave searches AI, not sure what model they use though.
@29:50 I'm going to sound like a broken record.
Gabe's idea's with Steam for the gaming market overall are great.
The Steam client itself, however, is not so great. It packs many good features. Many of which are so important to me, that it outcompetes other stores instantly.
But gosh I'd wish they would hire some proper QA and UI developers one day. Developers that care about NOT grabbing and unpacking 150MB packages every other day, and creating an UI that doesn't shit itself every other day, that turns down web graphics on unaccelerated HW, etc.
I see no issues running Steam on my gaming rig, but anything else thats slightly underpowered its so much suboptimal to use…
2:59:00 nice but unneeded -> I get powerplay, but I plug my mouse in like 3 times a year? and the cable is 'right there on the desk', so… Anyway, my take would be something like an external power-on button. It's so stupid but not having to crawl under my desk to reach the power button is what makes me happy every time I use it.
Delivaroo the glue is in the name, we also have JustEat.
FINALLY! And it would be the Fr*nch! Godspeed, France, and once you've conquered the OS, may you move onto the big applications. For too long, have america's corporation-owned politicians legislated their country into an anti-private-citizen dystopia, and dragged the rest of the world down with them. Free us from their folly, one industry at a time. Hire devs and get them to make an open source alternative for EVERYTHING. Intellectual "property" is the contemporary goldrush, and the world will be poorer if the people making money from it are faceless corporations, and the people paying for it are overstretched citizens.
Autocad next.
8:19 Does anyone know what they're talking about WRT the drag & drop stuff? What step are they suggesting Apple drop?
Mac natural scrolling drives me crazy.. on my work machine i could not install unauthorised apps. And I can only set up either trackpad or mouse only one to it … Why .. and wtf.
Mageia is pronounced "majeea", it means "magic" in Greek. But yeah, as much as I would prefer adopting an existing distro and contribute money / support upstream, a new government-focused pan-EU distro that ships with Euro-Office and Nextcloud by default might be easier to manage, fund and distribute throughout EU (for the countries willing to adopt and not deep on Microslop's pocket). It's a niche yet enormous task that warrants its own distro, I believe.
The big problem with the Deer settlement is that it's a settlement. It does not establish precedent. It does not further the cause
The drag and drop to install exists because most apps are portable apps by nature. You don’t actually have to put them in Applications, it’s just a convention. Since some devs rely on it, it’s just better to continue doing it.
I did not expect the Gamer's Nexus kissing part 😭😭
I'd assume there will be a large amount of A18 Pro chips coming back to Apple as trade-in phones for people on the 16 upgrading to the 18/19 when they come out. In an ideal world they just refurbish and have the upgrade to the non-binned version when tens of millions of devices come back to them.
i guest ignores plane comments…
I got a zenbook14 oiled ultra 7 16gb ram 512 gb 1200p oled touch screen and good batter life 2 thunder bolt 4 ports type c and I got it for the same price as the 512gb Mac neo at $699 the speakers are

Im genuenly shocked how charitable Linus is being to Nintendo. He and Luke agree that if it wasnt "Nintendo" then they wouldnt buy their products. Because they know Nintendo is a scummy company.
My interpretation of the price split is that they definitely want to phase out physical copies. They could very well mean that digital being chear still means their heaviest hitter games are 80 dollars (they arent dropping the cost of mario kart digital, gtfo lmoa) but the next Zelda title or whatever will cost 90 dollars digital.
The know at that point most people would shift to digital, but the die hard physical copy buyers that insist of physical for their own rightful reasons will get price gouged. And eventually physical might as well be the "collector's edition".
So nintendo spends less money creating and shipping physical copies while at the same time making MORE money now because they both reduced the supply and increased the cost AND lost no sales due to digital still costing 80 bucks.
And eventually they will inevitably raise the cost of their games to 90 dollars in another 5 years from now
While usual dads do camping and hunting I would have preferred Linus dad way of tech guru teaching
Spotlight in macOS 26 got better. Still the third party app raycast is better and faster.
29:25 I swear, this kind of stuff only happens to Linus. He must be so magnetically charged by now from messing around with electronics for decades …
e: 31:30 Further proof.
Not using Powertoys, a Microsoft freeware product with no ads, which has been available for many years, just because you're a bitter malcontent is peak edge lord. Beyond Powertoys there's a half dozen really mature freeware apps that do the same thing. Flow Launcher, Raycast, and others going back over a decade. Heck Launchy did it and it was release back in 2007 for Windows XP. For instant file file Powertoys can work with voiid tools Everything. Personally I'm using Wizfile these days. Try actually providing useful tips instead of just being mad.
