All of these need HACS to be installed. Here’s the link that explains how to do that and it only takes about 1 or 2 minutes.

I hope this gave you some ideas! Also I'm working on a LOT behind the scenes and excited to share big updates soon 👀
Just to clarify, I currently have Node-RED actions triggering my Home Assistant automations, but CAFE looks really impressive—might have to check it out
Cuite dog !
I'm a pilot, so I use the Flight Radar 24 Add-On to track my own flights as a device tracker. So, on the map it shows my current location.
My wife somehow seems to loose every remote she touches. So out of sheer frustration I setup a HACS roku remote card and have firemote too, to be able to use the tv while we search for the remote. Now she doesn't even try to find the remote and just uses her phone. 🤦♂️
My son is training to be a pilot. I wonder if I can figure out the numbers for the planes and see when he’s flying over. I can sometimes see where he is using Find My, but this would be cool.
That apple tv remote stuff is overkill. On iOS its built in and on Android there is AtvRemote app which is exactly what you want.
Always enjoy your updates. You will have to check out a set of cards I have been working on with a friend of mine called factory card in hacs. Realistic guages and themes.
Did you finally run the main HA in the house only with HomeKit or still have mix?
In case it helps anyone else, I just tried ChimeTTS and it didn't work – no options in the UI. It seems there is a bug but if you install the 1.2.3-beta1 version it works again.
Isn't there a safety delay when using Flight Radar, or is that only for the US and Canada? The plane you see directly above may not be the one showing if that's the case. A quick search says orange planes are delayed for safety reasons, while yellow ones only have the short delay it takes data to become available to FR24. Do you know someone more knowledgeable who can confirm/explain (most viewers, I'd imagine😁😁)?
I just saw a live stream where he showed C.A.F.E., and it didn't look very intuitive and simple. Someone remarked that it hasn't been updated for quite a while, and it is a bit worrying to me.
CAFE should be added to HA as enhancement. Making complex automations won't direct you straight to Node Red. Having the exisiting structure + diagram would be huge benefit!
First
What device do you use for your dashboards? Go Cougs 🤙
FWIW, Piper used to work, until like October, and it was much faster.
Any way you could do a video on Atomic calendar, When google change their API, it broken mine and everywhere I could, just does not work at all. Keep pop up with a error message.
Waiting for Music Assistant videos
I always crack up at these. Proves my joke that HA isn’t about automation. You build like six automations that actually work, burn the rest, and screw with an info dashboard that has nothing to do with home automation for the rest of your life. 😂 😂 😂
Love Team Tracker. Implemented Team Tracker in my home 2 years or so ago thanks to @ThisSmartHouse (great video) . I just redesigned my MLB sports card using a bubble pop and included the standings using the flex table as a sub button. I did all of it using claude AI. I am definitely gonna try out your calendar card that you suggested. Outside fact that I have no flights going over my home, I think I have pretty much everything else on your list that I need. Thanks for the video Reed!
Automation has become a joke with AI writing them all.
I think the UIX Extension on HACS is the more current way to style cards than card-mod. I think it may be replacing card-mod. Check it out.
The official Tile Card supports dropdown too!
Hey Reed, awesome dashboard. Do you mind sharing it? Thanks!!
Very good video. I would love to suggest doing this every few months.
Good refreshment 🙂
I've used Team Tracker for a couple of years, I don't see why you need it when your state doesn't have a hockey team anymore.
If you don't already know, you can build your own feeder for Flightaware using a RPi. They provide a prebuilt free image, and when you become a feeder you get enterprise access to their historical data. That, and there is a built in web server that display local traffic in realtime without the Flightaware lag.
What's mutley's name?
o o.. a dog in the house:: got the feeling a lot of automations need to be rewritten 🙂
13:28 I've got the radar card setup to only appear on my dashboard when the NWS has issued a watch or warning for my area.
5:37 I'm using Firemote and it perfectly replicates my TCL Roku TV remote.
Been using YAMP (Yet Another Media Player) with music assistant and loving the flexibility
