Remember 6 months ago when Linus bought an environmental chamber on auction for dirt cheap… yeah turns out it is not cheap and would cost $250,000 if he wanted to keep it. BUT we got in touch with the guys who helped shutdown this exact unit over a decade ago and they managed to get it up and running.

Guy just got a plane, hes got plently of money left for a fridge/oven.
I wouldn't have expected it to be so loud, let alone inside. I guess maybe cuz its a "older style system" or something?
Locally we have a company called Thermaltron which specializes in chambers that can go down to absurbed temperatures. When I was in High-School 2011, We went to take a tour of their plant. They had a chamber that could fit about 30 people inside comfortably ( The entire class ) and it was able to go from 70F room temperature to -30F within seconds, and it wasn't loud at all inside. No hearing protection was neeeded, and just as quickly they could ramp the temperature to 100F. And it was surely an experience to go from -30F to 100F within like 30 seconds.
So, First time I ever been around such a chamber, and I just assumed they were all essentially fairly quiet ( in terms of no hearing damage risks well under 80dB – Super easy to hold conversation ) and to my limited knowledge at the time I recall seeing 3-4 refrigerant compressors on the unit. So I guess they must just be designed to run quieter VS the one Linus has, was maybe just designed to be ran in a loud-ass factory so who cares how loud it is..

Thats my favorite thing to do at work in summer, I will happily spend a good chunk of time in our -19 c walk in freezer at work and even can spend up to 2 hours in out 2 c fridge making pizza dough a lot of the time without a jumper coz i LOVE the cold on a 38 c day (winter though i jumper up)
