For Years, Yvonne has been asking Linus for a DDR Pad one that wont be flimsy and terrible or ones that cost an arm and a leg. Turns out a Polish company makes entry level DDR Pads that are “affordable” and high enough quality that it wont fall apart…maybe.

  1. Use code LTT to get 33% off your first 6 months of Cape at cape.co/linustechtips

  2. Polska!!!

  3. I still have mine from the PS1 days. It's a flexible mat like the old Power Pad so it folds up.
    Edit: 2:31 There it is!

  4. 13:0913:23 my favorite thing linus ever said

  5. 6:52 Dude! Solid Pop-locking!

  6. She's right – say what you like about Honecker, but the East Germans made dance pads that were built to last.

  7. Linus went from tech tips to tech me and my family want to own so ill make a video on it so I can pay for it with the company money, then when its all said and done he'll buy back the stuff from his company for like 1 cent each lol.

  8. i see jakes replacement doing well…………

  9. Are you really a rich asian if you don't want one of these 😂

  10. When your Boss is on his third DDR Pad…

  11. POLAND MENTION

  12. you know Linus is old and has not been to an arcade in years its like 3-4$ per song not 1$ per few songs lmfao

  13. damn no born2lead pad

  14. Last I remember seeing the kids was the PC building videos and this made me feel ANCIENT

  15. Day 4 of asking for a pc

  16. Got one of these and love it. It replaced a rather worn out fabric pad that we had gaffer taped to some plywood for stability. The initial learning curve of the games is like a cliff, but once you are a few hours in you are spending less time concentrating on connecting the dots internally between the arrows and foot movements and it becomes second nature.

  17. 14:49 part of the problem is that your TV is on mute. You need the music to better time steps

  18. You need the handbar for that it makes it so ez or a little bit easier.

  19. I allways wonder who could want a Pad from the 'Deutsche Demokratische Republik' – DDR ??? This Country does not exist anymore for almost 40 Years. We (western Germany BRD & eastern Germany DDR) united in 1989.
But Poland is right next to us, so i think it's legit 😉

  20. Someone please link to the mini keyboard controller Linus used to work the PC

  21. My only question is how is it 600$ in Canada but at kost 400€ in Austria? Did they lower it? What pack did they order

  22. him talking about "piracy" scared the shit out of me. Please do NOT talk about pirating bemani games you're going to ruin it for all of us

  23. YOOOOO I see the Hacksmith knife being used. I can't wait to get mine!

  24. Do this on your jet!

  25. That title, me as a german citizen, cringed a bit, before my brain started to recognize the dance*** dr thingy… first it read "Deutsche Demokratische Republik" (german democratic republic) <- the east part of germany that went through communism after WW2

and some intrusive thought, did the DDR produce then a "Pad"? is it a board to cut your vegtables on? 😀

  26. Polska gurom!!!!!!!! 🏔⛰⚪🔴⚪🔴⚪🔴

  27. Ok Linus I love you bro but if you want someone to test out a DDR pad you need to make sure they're relatively good at the game. There is a lot to this game and your average Joe that starts playing it WILL NOT KNOW if they miss or if its a "pad miss" I've used a penny mod Ltek for months and its been an absolute blessing to use an LTEK. Love you bro

  28. Leave to Linus to take an off hand comment from his wife, mistake her meaning, and then the kids definitely aren't gonna care about it tomorrow unless friends are over twice a year at most haha and probably spend time on the $5000 pcs, handheld pcs, etc.

  29. Install itg mania, it has more customization and let’s you play without the health bar, look for simfiles for songs, i have a 20gig folder of songs from every ddr, itg, and piu game, if you need the folder link I can send it

  30. Next step is to get the stepmaniax screen thingy

  31. LAPFOX TRAX MENTIONED

  32. Isn't there normally like, grab rails?

  33. I have 2 load cell stepmaniax pads I need to sell.

  34. I just want to know how do the poles work? And do arctic scientists do pole dance?

  35. These are getting boring…..

  36. I am here just for the private jet jokes!!! I saw some, it seems there are not deleting them all in this video

  37. Oh my.. Excercise!

  38. This is exactly what made me fall in love with LTT in the beginning. Quirky tech things, gaming related and just fun to see.

The DDR pads are actually quite cheaper here in Europe. About 250-300€ for a metal one, and 450€ with the handbar (which is vital for much harder songs).

Also, I'd recommend giving high scroll speeds in those games a try when testing for motion clarity on monitors. When you go over 1000+ scroll speed on Stepmania or over 28 speed in osu!mania, you can actually see the limits in many monitors and this can be a dealbreaker for anyone in that niche.

  39. What about "Pump It Up" I think is cooler than DDR.

  40. 9:26 you tried to play a rhythm game without music?! Why on earth would you even do that LOL

  41. Almost all music or rhythm games need to be calibrated to reduce audio and video latency, which is why they couldn't hit the arrow keys even if they tried. If the audio and video are out of sync, it's impossible to hit the notes in time.

  42. POLAND MENTIONED!!!

  43. That price tag has to be because of shipping. I did not pay nearly as much having mine shipped to Sweden.

  44. mexican here….ehm….riiiight
