While I don't think deleting the original video was STRICTLY necessary, I'm impressed with your integrity, you've got a new subscriber. An ironic problem with the Deck is that it updates and changes at a breakneck speed, making impressions and even review videos potentially obsolete in a matter of weeks. They also don't explain much, if I wasn't familiar with their controller configurator from the Steam Controller I'd be as confused as you were. Speaking of that, hit the Steam button and click to the right twice and you'll see the full controls info for the game you're in, should help with some of the confusion you dealt with.

Civilization 6 is not Deck Verified. Steam says its playable but they also say there will be issues that you need to expect. You also need to tinker with the Decks settings to see if you can make it work. But some games even playable will not run smooth.

A bit late to the party, so i don't know if this comment is still relevant, but it's also worth noting that the controls are 100% configurable and on a game by game basis. If you don't like the left click on the right touch pad, you can just put it on the left touch pad f.e.

It’s great that you can recognize your mistake and willing to correct it, you won yourself a sub and like, if I can be honest though, steam deck is a relatively new concept coming from a company that is known for having great ideas solely backed by community effort. Valve has never been the type to make things easy, so going with that in mind to new hardware on a new concept, I expect it to be a few years before the steam deck is really pressed and adapted properly, and a lot of the work will most likely come from community hands on feedback. That’s just how Valve works, secondly I applaud you trying to play Civ 6 on this, however I truly feel the strengths of games on this device comes from steam players with a large back catalogue of games they can’t seem to find the time to install on a desktop. For myself this is JRPG titles, I’m a huge fan of them, however I can’t seem to find the energy to install them on my desktop and play for 6 Consecutive hours. For myself the steam deck really deters this issue. Sitting on the couch playing the new “tails of arise” in a handheld format is exactly the reason I bought the steam deck, and now that rune factory 5 is out I’ll soon be picking that up. Heck I’ve been wanting to replay the Arkham series for the fun of it, but don’t feel like sitting at the desk. In walks steam deck! This device is a godsend for us with large back logged steam libraries.
