  2. Not sure where the best place to report this is, but the podcast version of this has weird and low quality audio. (At least on pocket casts.)

  3. Waiting on some AMD BC 250 content
Linus gonna trip when he finds what this bad boy can do

  4. Who cares it’s not like anyone uses google products

  5. It's incredibly hard to get into the IT industry as a graduate in a junior or entry level position. They often require 2-5 years of experience along with knowledge of tools not used outside of corporate/large project environments.

I graduated university with a 4.0 GPA and after 3 months of applications, I've got all rejections. Only had a single company interview me and they rejected me after they asked if I "use AI for everything." I told them that I'd rather not use it and the interviewer went 😬

  6. 1:05:53 E is eromancer. Gonna make you fall in love with Intel dgpus.

  7. Using your company phone as your own phone is fine if you own the company.

  8. 4:30 this is especially wild because if you're working within the legal or medical space, ppl should be aware that Microsoft bought a company called Nuance, which is de facto the standard for voice transcription within certain sectors 🤦‍♂

  9. What happened to good news WAN show?

  10. 2:19:20. I think the thin line is between your needs and being greedy. If your being greedy, then you know what you are now. Your not acting upon necessity, but upon wanting more.

  11. THANK YOU FOR HEARING US AND LETTING US OLDSQLERS USE THE SUBFEED HOW IT WAS SUPPOSED TO!!❤❤❤

    One Love!

  12. So I surrendered and got Windows 11. While I am happy, actually, the initial fixing and cleaning was ironically similar to what makes Linux a hurdle: Excursions in command prompt and missions in the Registry. Apart from regular menu-diving.

I just learned how to manage particular Pdf maneuvers in Word. It involves third party stuff and surprisingly pasting into page header. It's arcane and requires assistance.

Microsoft is still ubiquitous, but that's their main power, I think, so as Linux reaches a critical mass, things may move fast!

  13. I would want to order stuff from my phone with my voice. and yeah, you can totally have agentic ai manage a local calendar that you run on your own home network that isn't on the internet (only available on your network and maybe with a local vpn or something like tailscale), it could check my e-mail (with an api key that doesn't have delete permissions just in case). – it could aggregate news content from an rss reader and give me that stuff upon command (optionally summarizing it for me), home assistant has an mcp server that your ai can access that enable all home assistant endpoints so you could do lighting notificiations, you could push notifications to alexa if you wanted, you could have it open and close blinds, use deterministic or ai based automation wherever each make sense.

  14. First time hearing about Google IO

  15. “Do you want to talk about old Mc’Groogle had a keynote Ai Ai Oh” it’s my new favorite sentence.

  16. You guys are mistaken about ai replacing senior devs. I have one in my family who works at microsoft as a senior dev and 95% of his code is from claude and their team is much smaller than it once was. Do not study for becoming a developer if you want to code a lot, it is a an ai management role now.

  17. 14:25 Linus my girlfriend is a hairdresser with her own salon, I'm responsible for the scheduling system for the salon and run local ai in my homelab. Hmu, lets make it happen.

Also, if you find yourself in the southern US (Microcenter, NC) I'd love to show you my campervan office with custom itx system (direct die liquid metal on copper heatsink all AMD CachyOS linux gaming machine. I think you'd be impressed by the performance compared to your own itx diy Steam-machine despite the hardware)

6 months from now I hope to to have minimum 8 kwh solar and wind power storage with starlink for hours of gaming anywhere, anytime.

    I'll make a video when I'm done!

  18. I find AI promts are bad at understanding "no". like "no moustache", or "He's not smiling".

  19. 0:02 first shirt pull and im done here
