Am I the only one that thinks wireless charging is dumb and gimmicky? I literally still have a wire going to the charger, the only difference is the .0001 seconds I save not having to plug a cable in.

Unfortunately my stupid rebel 5 doesn't have wireless charging I wouldn't trip off of the wireless charging I don't see what the big deal is the big deal to me is seeing that amazing flip rear camera switching to selfie mode that is amazing that means that you have better photo taking ability in the selfie mode you could actually see what you're doing it's going to be better quality this phone seems absolutely amazing as far as I'm concerned
Why can't the Zenfone 8 flip be available in the states that is the most amazing technology I've seen a rear camera ability that flips to selfie mode that makes all phones look like trash god I hope that T-Mobile or Metro has it available sometime next year that is an innovational phone I've never seen a phone like that ever

Had my eye on Zenfone 8 and Google Pixel 6.
Went for Zenfone 8, simply cuz of the compact factor with high end specs. Tired of huge phones in my smol hands. Plus wireless charging is so unnecessary imo.

Asus needs to learn that they gotta dance with the one who brung them.. the flip cam. That's what really made the 6 shine and put them in their light. Showing us in 2019 that you can have a big battery and a jack and a sick flip function. The 6 was great.

flip should be the ultimate tech if right camera and technology was used. No OIS! you just need one really good camera with a good camera app on this phone. Would have been a hit.
I would love the 8 flip but I'm disappointed in the lack of 120hz, dust resistance, or gorilla victus.

The Z8 front camera is terrible in low light, too bad lens with 2.5 aperture 🙁
I like flip model but I am scared two things.
1. No water resistant
2. No OIS on cameras(afraid of bad puctures).
Big problem with the battery! The phone drains up the battery extremely fast even in idle condition.

Hi I am struggling to choose between s20fe 5g and asus zenfone 8. I mainly use it for watching youtube, taking call, use as GPS in my car and taking pictures/videos. They are similarly priced here in Australia. I want one with good cameras, and has decent battery to last me the whole day(s20fe has a larger battery, but a bigger screen to power, whereas the asus has a smaller screen, and a newer processor). S20fe comes with 6gb of Ram here in AU, and asus with 8gb of Ram. I have an Asus Max Pro 2, at the moment. The battery is fine, but after sales software updates is a concern for the Asus, and hoping it would be better with Samsung. The OS is clean for Asus, so it's a plus, but samsung comes with its security and other perks. Can you please help me choose? Please remember the camera and the battery life.

ASUS doesn't want to put wireless charging on their phones because they said it wears out the battery more. Maybe in the future they will have this feature on their phones, for the people that do not mind it.

The ZenFone 8 is ugly from the back and the front with that silver ring at the level of the selfie that looks really cheap and that huge chin.
The ZenFone 8 Fip has no interest compared to the ZenFone 7 and 7 Pro, the 888 is nothing a better processor than the 865 and 865+ which heat much less and therefore keep their stability over time and over long sessions of games or video photos.
A very bad vintage for Asus this generation 8.
you forgot to mention what happens when you stumble and you fall on the phone or drop it while the cam is flipped. terrible idea.anything mechanical will always fail quite quickly.

They don't feature wireless charging because they preferred a bigger battery capacity.

Yeah NGL if I can muster up the funds gonna go for a zenfone non-flip, specwise and package wise it seems perfect. I really don't care for the cameras as long as they aren't potato. With the size of pockets and the size of my hands a compacter package (and the 3.5mm jack with my car) seals the deal.
