  1. Took a break from my videos about moving to show you guys some new tech I've been using, just in time for Prime Day! Everything is linked in the description if you want to check it out.

  2. Quite a few of these aren’t even smart home devices. Like a flashlight that mounts to your cap?

  3. I have that ikea smart button: it's pure horse sh!t to be completely honest (at least with alexa, but i have Tapo's smart button that are actually great…)

  4. Love this episode!

  5. Dude your garage door method is janky as hell. Just use Meross WiFi device.

  6. I like the battery tester for the convenience though I just swap batteries and test coin cells with my tongue. The worst that happens is you get a bad taste for a minute 🙂

  7. Just ordered the battery tester for my dad for Father's Day. This is something he always needs, but never had!

  8. No RATGDO?

  9. Great video as always. Try the Hacs HomeAssistant – Tapo: Cameras Control. For your Tapo Camera

  10. 6:15 there is a HACS that helps "Matter Time Sync for Home Assistant" hade the same problem. but now i just have a auto that refresh the clock when the sun come up.

  11. Related to the TRMNL display, there's a newish software project called OpenDisplay that aims to make it a bit easier to build and work with eInk screens. While it's still a pretty new project all things considered, they're a collaboration partner of the Open Home Foundation and are working with Seeed as a hardware partner. I believe you can run OD firmware on the TRML, and while it's probably not at the point where it can replace the stock firmware I think it's got a lot of promise for the future.

  12. Matter Time Sync on HACS can automatically update the Alpstuga's clock. Took me months to find out about it.

  13. I just bought a boroscope this morning lol. Should be here by tomorrow. Using it for the exact same reason you are, plus I do low voltage cabling at work, so it’ll help there too 😁

  14. I like the Bilresa dual button, but the scroll version doesn’t work correctly in Apple home. It registers the various scroll points as individual buttons, so activating them consistently or reliably is impossible. Hopefully they update the device to work properly with Apple Home.

  15. Interesting last tool.
Specially because you have one leatherman exactly like mine in that table and having that portable multitool is amazing, i dont know how i would work without one.. i had a swiss army or leatherman with me for 26 years… I literally fix everything with that thing.
But i hate the size of the scissors… interesting tool. Thanks for sharing.

  16. What matter thread border router are you using? I cant get any to work and im actually using dirigera as hub..

  17. These are my fav's of all your videos. I am impressed that you find so many neat things that the rest of us miss.

  18. I had a stick powered mop from another brand; it was such a pain to disassemble it and clean the rollers and pieces after each use, so I rarely used it. The more portable swiffer wet mop was way easier to pull out for quick cleanup. But now you may have me intrigued to buy another one! Enabler!

  19. I use to play chess, move it to digital and stopped playing. If your girl wnjoy chess is a nice use of brain cells, it is an investment.

  20. I use the meross garage door sensors. They work beautifully with Home assistant.

  21. have you tried the tapo camera control hacs integration for adding the tapo camera to home assistant the onvif integration should also work

  22. I LOVE the Ikea scroll wheel button. But something about my router's ipv6 implementation means HA sometimes records false button presses, usually in the middle of the night. Sucks when it's controller my bedside lamps

  23. A moment of silence for ninjas who watch tech videos without purchasing any gadgets!

  24. 4:58 The doll in the attic 💀

  25. So i have read online from either zooz or Amazon that the zooz 800 zen 32 has 5 button press combinations per button so you could control 25 different automations

  26. The intro music is the same used by the YouTube channel The Breakroom by NewRockstars!

  27. Reed!!! Please review the Posha automated private chef. What's more smart home than a robot chef that cooks your family meals!? I just pre-ordered one, can't wait.

  28. I think this is very awesome I’m looking forward to see more projects

  29. Question with the battery tester does it put it under a load? I hate battery testers that say I got a good battery but once I start using it, it’s dead within two seconds.

  30. Ah yes, another solid video made to peddle affiliate links.
