Bc at any given time, in the way you attached it, there is only 2 holding the pcs weight, and when they fail, the next 2, so unless, you attached any pair of 2 to a new rope youll get this result.

Problem was that you kept adding them the wrong way, all the load was put on the edge ones, so after two, the one(s) in the middle become obsolete.
You need to add more ropes that will loop around the next two arches.
