    [3:53:34] Outro.

  2. My Windows Clock app just opens on whatever was selected previously. So select focus and close -> focus wizard on next open. All other options work the same.

  3. Portal 2 cake 🎂

  4. 1:54:30 SOMEONE ALREADY HAS I CAN'T REMEMBER THE TWEET BUT SOMEONE MADE IT GO HOME AND CHARGE ITSELF

  5. 1:06:43 YouTube search and almost all search functions on almost all platforms have deteriorated so much. I search for a lot of tech stuff and it’s just bad. Get 2-4 hits, rest is horse manure

  6. WAN should ALWAYS be on the main channel, with clips on the clips channel.

  7. "I was wrong about the steam machine" when?

  8. Valve has accrued so much positive consumer sentiment that I personally believe that the Steam Machine will sell surprisingly well.

  9. Is it at least a real Schwarzwaldes Kirsch torte with Kirschwasser?

  10. <3_ionic_cooling

  11. Wow Linus finally gets the Steam Machine. After actually reviewing it properly – actually using it! I said in your other video it’s like an Apple device. Prioritising premium experience over performance. Time to revisit your review.

  12. Steambook actually sounds cool af.

  13. 8:05 I'm very disappointed that the cake is not steam machine shaped…
    Lost opportunity there

  14. Wow what a torture to eat a slice of chocolate cake. Wow!! How horrible!! You lost Linus it isn’t meant to be pleasant xD

  15. Uhhh OK holy shit that thing is 2x smaller than I thought it was

  16. 21:58 totaly didnt just change my refresh rate from 60 to 240 lmao

  17. please don't sell out liken this because valve said so </3

  18. Pet owner ponders mystery of where socks disappear too.

  19. Imagine that Microsoft, Xbox, Sony and Valve are all cars in a race.

Microsoft has a sports car with three different sized wheels. Two the same, front right and back left. Two different, front left and back right. They're bouncing around uncontrollably with different parts breaking on a regular basis, held together with duct tape, glue and unicorn tears.

Xbox has a sports car with only two actual wheels left, one front left and one back right, and is struggling to keep its self in the race. They fell off long ago and were replaced with Xbox 360's, for a somewhat bumpy ride. Xbox has been quoted as saying "It'll be fine. Nowadays, everything is an Xbox, which means an Xbox can be used for everything".

Sony has a sports car with four different sized wheels, laid out in a way that's "driveable" in a straight line but risky on the corners. Due to this the suspension has collapsed countless times because of going off track.

Valve has a modest car with four equal wheels and an expensive sound system, that started the race late and is just cruising along enjoying the music and scenery. No one can explain why they spent so much on the sound system when entering a race.

  20. If Apple updated the Apple TV chip to A17 or better, they would have their own Steam Machine.

Leverage the power of the App Store ecosystem to the TV.

  21. How do intel gpu's run on steamOS?

  22. When you guys open a EU warehouse, I will buy from LTT Store. The cost of customs and shipping is unacceptable.

  23. 19:50

This whole part is just so weird, it has literally almost nothing different to the base KDE experience on every other distro, don't understand why he praises SteamOS so much as if apart from the big picture experience, it's pretty much the same as every other distro, install bazzite or Cachy and you will see the same desktop config, settings menu, app discovery.

I've had bazzite installed on my 15 year old brothers PC as an experiment and he has almost no tech literacy besides installing programs on windows and he has had no issues doing literally anything he would need to do

  24. The good thing about having companies like valve in invest in steam os, is great features will always trickle down to other distros.

  25. i'm sure there is more to the steamOS thing than Linus showed but i think everything that was discussed is just KDE rather than steamOS. Could be Linus' distros he used shipped with older versions of KDE so he was missing some stuff?? Dont get me wrong, steamOS looks great and Linux as a whole is in a great place right now, partly due to valve of course with proton. But i'm not sure SteamOS, as a desktop OS is all that revolutionary. I've played around with it on steamdeck a bit and it's just… linux with KDE as far as i can tell

  26. I've always thought it's never been about the machine it's about the OS

  27. The cake is a lie

  28. Give me the Steam OS on my Ps5 than were talking

  29. Again! Thank you so much my man!!😂so happy to see yo again!! have a lot of fun that day! we build that beautiful PC for my customer(and have your sing on it!)hope he likes it!!, maybe is the busiest day in my shop that day, and that's my biggest birthday gift in my life😂! Thanks again!!

    P.s:your the greatest worker i ever had 😂😂!love you❤!

  30. why don't they sell a barebones steam machine if they want to keep the price down, many people have a stick of ram and/or ssd

  31. 1:05:53 "One from Voldemort" 😂

  32. 1:05:52 Voldemort huh? I guess this confirms why that other youtuber's name was never mentioned at all in any LTT content ever since that whole debacle with him ended.

Tbh tho I guess it's… fine. If that's what it takes for people to move on from that whole debacle, it's fine.

  33. I've been using Linux for the past 6 years and I agree that a vendor that can 'guarantee' some level of stability, compatability and that "it just works" factor would be really great.

In general I really enjoy tinkering with my devices, but sometimes I'm just not in the mood to spend half an hour (or more *sigh*) fixing some issue.

Being able to buy a Steam Machine (/System76/…) and everything just works, sounds soooo appealing. Especially sinds you are still able to do all the tinkering you want, you're just not required to do it.

  34. Linus bringing a cake and not eating the whole 5000 calories upsets me more than the plane controversy

  35. I just removed bazzite from my desktop and put steam OS on it permanently
Steam OS is just better for me all i do is play game and watch videos.

  36. Zero mention about FSR 4.1 on RDNA 3? I know AMD is almost non-existent, but come on.

  37. Luke’s “lady cake” lol Unifi has memory surcharges on switches that are managed because they need ram to manage

  38. 10:47???

  39. "if you need linux pre installed you shouldnt be using linuix" is exactly the kind of gatekeepery tomfuckery that slows down mainstream adaptation of linux. Linux & open source is about freedom of choice above all else and that includes the freedom to choose NOT to be youre own sysop and want a platform that just works OOB whilst RESPECTING that this is free software maintained by largely unpaid volunteers

  40. I view any purchase of the Steam Machine as being donations from fans of Valve.

  41. Fk yea I won lottery

  42. What happen to streaming on the wan show channel? Just do it already

  43. People really should be more critical of Valve… I see so many people when arguing for the things that Valve did an oppsie or a bad thing, people are so quick to forgive them. Every single criticism on Valve I see is always followed by "but they did this other thing that's good for Gamers so they should be forgiven".

I'm personally a bit worried about trajectory Valve is going towards in the future. They are becoming a wall-garden monopoly in PC gaming. Gamers are becoming too reliant on the Steam store, even if they don't realize it.

The Steam Controller doesn't even support xinput out of the box; you need to add non-steam games to steam to even play non-steam games with the Steam Controller. If we can criticize Apple for needing an Apple device for a full Airpods functionality, we can criticize Valve for needing Steam store for a full Steam Controller functionality.
