My 1000Hz monitor is on the way, but there’s one thing we kinda need to address. A Gaming PC to push 1000 frames isn’t so easy to come by… So with the help of our friend Splave, join us on this overclocking quest for gaming at 1000 fps!

Tbh Mc 1300 fps isn’t that impressive. You should aim for 5k that is really impressive, but 10k or more is achieved

There is zero point to even buy a 1000hz monitor at 720p unless you just like to throw money away on garbage.

Do it with Bioshock. I had 500ish to 600fps in Bioshock remastered last year with my 9070xt in 1440p, so…
a 5090 or better should be able to do it. definitely at 1080p. perhaps 1440p

classic games will feel better at higher fps because they were designed around crt tvs which had instant or very low 8.3ms@60Hz response times.

Minecraft can do 1000FPS rather easily, especially with performance mods. People that have more money than sense and really like Minecraft might benefit from such a monitor, and without such an overkill system!
I'd like to see the results with as similar tuning as possible done on CachyOS. Being very CPU-heavy is interesting; Linux is known to handle CPU-heavy tasks better.
Play dota2 maximum settings
Would be cool to see what happens if you slowly have brought the temp up, instead of the -100, try the OC at -80, runs? okay, now what about -50? runs, -30, you get the point and see where/how stable it actually was, maybe it runs but you lost a bunch of FPS, just something cool to see.
Next challenge. Use this setup to play Cyberpunk at max settings, 8k resolution, and no dlss
