this isn't a damn ultra, when I think of an ultra i think of the line that replaces the note, best camera, best screen, best chip, AND the pen. they should have been labeled fold mini and fold 8

The ultra seems like just a minor spec bump and an afterthought, the star of the show should be the "normal" fold

Watching this on my Fold 7 and honestly, this isn't any reason for me to upgrade! Especially when the phone is nearly £1,900 and Samsung are offering £670 for my Fold 7!!!!
Which should you buy? Probably none. Moto does flips better. There's plenty of folds out there on the market that are making significant improvements too. Motorola has its first iteration of a fold out which you can get with the pen (Samsung no longer have, better cameras and 7 years of updates for the same price. Honor are improving all the time too and Oppo (if you can get one).
The slight difference isnt worth it.Its not worth paying more for the Z Fold 8 ultra unless youre fussy about the camera.
Cameras also are sucky on the Fold 8 Wide.
Passport too wide in the hand when closed and no flex mode. Also, from what I have been reading, social media does not look good on the Fold 8 Wide.

Not getting rid of my fold 7 for the same phone and less memory. Especially them not offering a storage upgrade for pre orders and the fact that the battery is barely larger. This is a step back in my opinion, why call it a ultra when they should've made the new one a fold mini and just made a fold 8 and fold 8 mini. Smh this is pretty disappointing if you ask me 😏 don't walk in Apples foot steps is seems they just did
I really wanted to love the Galaxy Fold 8. But after reading the specs: no HDR video recording, a smaller battery, no 8K video recording, only a 50MP camera, and no optical zoom beyond 2x. There are just too many compromises compared to the Ultra.
Samsung, give us the Ultra’s hardware in the Fold 8 form factor!!!!!! 🚨🚨🚨

In my country, Samsung trade in price is way below market price ( it is better for you to sell it outside) which makes trade-in very unattractive. Also $38 discount is nothing compared to a high 2k plus phone… Overall not an attractive pre-order deal ! Plus I really want the S -pen to come back as i am using S25 ultra now. I shall wait for apple's launch (see if they do a foldable phone version) and make a comparison. Although Apple is known to be very stingy in pricing but they are known to churn out high quality products, even first time. Worth waiting for another mth.

So does the owner of Samsung use Apple now or something? I can't imagine why they keep screwing us with no s-pen and even worse – no s-pen support. I am still on an S23 Ultra because everything for the past 3 years has been garbage. Who is making these decisions and not listening? These comments are FULL of people wanting s-pens and usable features, and a better selfie camera… like 10MP… come on… not just "oooh it's thinner." Who cares if it's a thin paperweight?

This is such a disappointment! Just make one device that has a standard s26 or s26 ultra front display size which will give you the best of both worlds. And, add a built in S pen for an ultimate ultra experience. Why have two phones with obvious flaws and both are very expensive and still lack ultra features. Why pay this much for flawed phones and have to choose a form factor. Last year's front display was not a significant increase. YouTubers are praising the wide stubby fold which I think is a joke when closed in one hand operation, and the fact that it's dwarfed with camera and specs. I can't understand why Samsung can't make the ideal foldable when that's all consumers have been asking for??? I feel this stupid wide option is to compete with Apple's foldable when they can be better than Apple's dwarfed design with an ideal foldable.
