  1. Spend $399 on eligible Omada gear and receive an Omada Fusion 2.5G for FREE through our link: https://tplinksystemsinc.pxf.io/unlock_omada_linus

*Offer limited to the first 500 customers. One per customer.

  2. I call this the backdoor pilot for James making his own channel and then leaving LTT

  3. linus´s legs when he crawls down from the attic are looking like muppet legs

  4. I’d suggest Ubiquiti every day of the week. You’re upgrading a shit wifi system with the same company? Gotta be sponsored.

  5. I use Omada WAPs with a docker based controller, only noticeable issue I've really had is that every so often a reboot of the controller seems to help.

  6. " I Can't Let my Employees Live Like This "
    has 3 gigabit internet
    :1000_yard_stare;

  7. Tplink is poop

  8. see you tomorrow for the steam frame video

  9. As a certified low voltage shit disturber.

The original orange cable was probably UV resistant.
I have not bought a box of even Cat5E in a very long time that didn't spec UV resistant on the jacket. I think right now the lowest common denominator is just everything's UV-resistant.

That said, obviously it would be better to get a specifically spec'd outdoor burial or aerial or whatever it is cable. But even garbage cable is going to last like minimum five years. As long as it's not going to get mechanically battered by wind or anything, if the cable's just sitting there getting cooked in the sun, I've seen very old cable still work.

The point I'm trying to make is that would have been a problem for later Jak… James and I mean fuck that guy 😂

  10. a gigabit up?????? i cant even get that with cat5e directly into my router and a gigabit monthly plan bro

  11. There are times where drawing out the network before you try to install it helps.

  12. There's a ghost in you attic James, creepy.

  13. Oh dear. I dont know when this video was recorded (and sponsored) but if you even glanced at the news about these devices, they are getting hacked left right and center. They are giant open doors and one of the leading examples that the US is using to ban non-us routers.

  14. 13 minutes in, and I'm thinking that temporarily emptying the pantry to make access easier was too much work.

  15. Bro, my Download is 50 on a good day, with Ethernet (or Wifi), yes used different routers/modems/cables/switches. The Guy from the Provider said 70 might be possible he tried, it worked for like 3 hours, then automatically switched back to 50 cause of bad connection.. Really guys, 140, is dream internet here

  16. But it's still tp-link and all their security issues…

  17. I have 25mbs download. Upload Idk. Fine for everything but slow. Its free so

  18. So plouffe is leaving and now james is aswell.

  19. Requires no subscription YET. They are waiting till they get enough customers then will either turn that "feature" on or some other company buys them out and starts to require a subscription. I'll stick to my OPNsense router thanks.

  20. Loved the video, the shenanigans, the forgotten tools, running non-outdoor cable, forgetting you needed an additional cable when getting out of the attic AND leaving all that stuff in made it a lot more amusing and 'real'. As someone that works in IT I appreciated the 'real world' feel of this because we all know you have those jobs occasionally that can be like that, regardless of preplanning.

  21. maybe I am stupid. but what's wrong with 142 Mbps? as in find any streaming service that goes up that much

  22. Omg how many butt, ass, crack etc jokes 😂

  23. 142 Mbps aint good? man i watching this with 10 Mbps internet connection.

  24. I work IT in the US… my clients rarely get internet speeds over 100mbps for their entire business, so when you are complaining about 160… arg!

  25. You have to be careful if you put your networking on a UPS. 10 years ago I put the modem and the router on my new UPS. Then I had 3 modems fail in 6 months. They sent a technician out and he told me the cheap cable modems they use overvolt and burn out when running on a UPS. Really sucks because in my new place I'm in the basement and do not get cell signal down there so 2 years ago when the power was out for 3 days I had no internet on my cellphone unless I went upstairs.

  26. coulda just painted the existing cable with some uv reflective primer and then color match to the house

  27. Am I the only one who really dislikes tplink products and brands. I have had nothing but wasted time and pain using tplink products. Their deco line is by far the worse.

  28. gonna need some Elijah Tech Tips merch now

  29. Lol no UniFi

  30. Unifi Protect cameras but Omada networking, my networking heart is crying. Would have been better to centralize it with a UDM Pro Max, get redundant NVR storage, and have a full stack UniFi build.

  31. Today I learned SOHO means Small Office/Home office

  32. I might work for LTT. You have no idea how good this feels!

  33. Why i dont see comment about james and is bread at the end!

  34. I have 20mbps up and down, i wish i had a hundred living in germany

  35. Why don't you use wifiman when you're checking home coverage? It's way easier than running a speedtest every few seconds

  36. Okay I need a video on the sauna or is that just me?!

  37. Help !

  38. My guy, WLED Christmas lights on POE, you HAVE a WLED setup how was this not your first thought, James?
