kinda disappointed in the writing team for including the lamp by Giertz. I just think it was a product clearly marketed as something bespoke & handmade, as so many things from her shop are. But Linus' price estimation (predictably & reasonably) came from a place of mass-production. the result is it receives a lower score, but that's a reflection of a mismatched scale and Linus' own personal taste. and damn, I just can't help empathizing with a creator like Giertz watching this review and feeling pretty publicly dismissed by someone who just.. couldn't be further from the product demographic. That was a bad product to ask linus to review blind.

To put this more bluntly: koodos to the writing team for pitching a format where the basis for linus' blind react is him admitting he doesn't pay attention to the selected creators. …all of whom were framed as being in his own genre.

the model really falls apart when the products in question are just so far out of the Creator Warehouse's own verticals. (To wit, bespoke, handmade-makers really should not be on this list because it just feels like disproportionately impersonal analysis of a product which is marketed on it's personal touch.)

I would say pretty much all of this stuff is insanely expensive. You can't just make something really neat, it has to be something people buy and that much for a multi-tool or a thermometer?? Yes, they're interesting, but they dont add anywhere near that much more functionality compared to something infinitely cheaper.

Glass bottles are objectively superior to plastic bottles in every way except the weight. Which is why companies don't like using them anymore, they're cheap and want to save the half cent shipping glass costs more. That's all.

In regard to the multitool, that isn't quite as much as some of the more expensive options out there, but that's still high (especially since it doesn't have pliers lol).

The multitool market sort of reminds me of the watch market in that the prices range from like 10 bux to almost $400 lol.

The thermometer was probably my least impressive pick. I do grill a lot, and wireless thermometers are not uncommon, and most of them don't cost hundreds of dollars. You could make the argument that this one is better, but I would argue spending 5x more on a product that is MAYBE 2% better is not convincing. Besides, I rarely use a thermometer.

I might just buy the hat. Stick a pencil on there, an LED light on the brim, screwdriver with some bits. Tinker Hat!
