Useless product
Home "pad" would indicate a multi-use, useful, product. Like a product with an App Store & browser.
This is just meant to get into your business and give bragging rights that you have everything Apple.
This could be integrated into iPad, iPhone lock screen (nightstand mode?) or heck even iMac screen saver. Totally useless
So why would I buy this over sticking with my Google Home?

I just really don’t see the point. I always have my phone on me, so everything you can do on Home view I can do on my iPhone, or my iPad for that matter. And I have big stereo speakers so I certainly don’t need it to stream music too. I have the home button app in my phone and because I’m in an apartment I have no use for ring cameras, or indoor cameras or security, lighting or anything like that so that would be useless to me as an addition for the Home view. So unless there’s something Drastic that I’m missing as she no point for this device whatsoever.

Screen is too small, Bezels are sooo 2010 and not enough value.
I can’t believe they didn’t make it with a battery and a MagSafe charging base. Or at least a MagSafe charging cable like the MacBook. So you can easily move it around. 🤦🏻♂️

I can see a place for a device like that on the coffee table in the middle of my living room – and having this device full-time connected to a wire is a BIG NEGATIVE, a DEAL BREAKER actually. Good luck Apple.
