Comments

  1. The caveat to everything is frame generation although its really hard to say
In theory if you already have 500 FPS you could double it to 1000
Or you could 6x it from a base frame rate of 150 or so up to 900 (though there is a bit of loss so maybe a base rate of 200 would be needed)
Or possibly if there is 8x or 10x frame gen? I really do not know about these scenarios from 500 to 1000 or 200 to 1000
Have to see how the hardware and software goes in another year or two

  2. Unfortunately this is really one of those where you really have to see it
For starters the hardcore/elite gamers I have no idea and also I heard the esports will be using the 720 oleds?
The other issue is of course 24 inch and 1080P
If it were at least 27 inch and 1440P would be better
In an ideal world hopefully in the next few years dual or multiple modes starts to become the norm

The next issue then is between pulsar and what not
The other big thing is that setting aside the actual display if your game cannot actually get 200 or whatever its not very useful now is it
We already have 1440P at 500 and then the next step after that iss hard to say

  3. Honestly I'm not impressed. I own a Asus ips xg27aqmr 300hz and I have no ghosting or trail. It's almost like oled. For a 1000hz monitor and having ghosting no thanks I'll stick with my monitor. And yes my monitor was expensive $800 Australian black friday deal.

  4. I'm sure this monitor is great for the younger highly caffinated gamers. But I'll be a 43 year old biddie in December so I'll stick with my Aorus FO32U2P.

  5. 1000hz thatโ€™s madness man

  6. Ima fps geek always have been but i noticed smoother fps doesnt really seem to make me play any better.. maybe I'm just getting old

  7. I wonder how long it'll be till we can get full 360hz out of 4K out of the GPU heavy games.

  8. So I thought my 5090 was frying. my wireview 2 reported power issues. turns out it was my psu that was on the way out. In the meantime, I reserved a 5080 as a replacement for my 5090. I got it for 1599 at microcenter. Got my email saying my card was ready yesterday morning and I have til COB on Monday to pick it up. Since then, the price has gone up twice for the card 1799 and now 1899. (not my locked in price which is still 1599) I keep hearing this may be the end of the 5080 and the last stock has hit retailers shelves this upcoming week. I hear they are gearing up for th 5080 super which some say 3k price tag? ouch.. anyway. my dilemma is my 5090 is fine. I have a 5080 that is already worth 300 more than I will pay for it. I think the market is going to go up. Case in point the cheapest 5080 i can find on newegg is 2k. I have the cash to spend to buy the 5080 and hold onto it unopened for a little while. I could try and make some money if the market goes up like it's currently doing (blame a lack of 5090s so people are settling on 5080's (4090's are also overpriced 4 to 5k now look it up!!) Worst case scenario, I keep the card and swap it out for my 5070ti for 15% better gaming performance – expensive for what Id be doing but at least he card would be used!

  9. 1000hz would be for esports players as they need every advantage they can get. But for home users it's way overkill and useless ๐Ÿ˜ 240, 360 is more than fine.

  10. LG is nothing but spyware

  11. This video is 30 fps. That's something…

  12. You can simulate a CRT or plasma display with 1000hz, it has enough frames to actually emulate the way an image is drawn on those displays. It's not a theory I have it has actually been done already although I have not yet seen it with my own eyes. Yet

  13. What's the point of me getting a 1000hz monitor when CS2 keeps matching me against players with +80ms while I have 10ms, they will always have the edge on me if they peek first regardless of how many hz I use.

  14. Ehh I don't see 240hz oled vs 1000hz with 6x fg… Try it pls๐Ÿ˜Š

  15. I wish I could see myself chop trees at 1000fps in Runescape 4k, all ultra, but unfortunately with these settings, even with 5090 and 9800x3d, the maximum I could hit is 67fps.

  16. Looks no different to 240hz ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

  17. I've been on my bed for nearly a decade because of pain and physical problems. At the foot of my sleigh bed is a 60Hz 75" 4K HDR screen. Do they make these big enough to pique my interest? 24" is a postage stamp. I won't even consider a TV/monitor under 65".

  18. I'm getting on in years (40) and have been a pc gamer since I was 16 years old , I'm Vision Maxing with Glasses so I can view the full 8k detail on my 2k 27" Acer IPS 180hz VG270U P3O , No display would make me play better , more Hz , more pixels , less blur whatever. Everything is clear enough and super cheap on these IPS monitors nowadays. I'm also very sensitive to quality changes and that weird little jitter when playing some games when I pan left or right , so to make it feel smoother I sometimes turn on Motion blur or vsync or do the whole gsync setup correctly because I also despise the Frames overlapping when It is not syncing with the monitors refresh rate.

  19. me using 1000fps but aiming like 30fps

  20. this 1000hz monitor would be good for quake 3 arena but nobody plays it now

  21. How much spyware is inside this time, never buying LG

  22. Those bezels…….

  23. Then there's me playing Delta Force on a 60HZ TV ๐Ÿ˜Ž

  24. LG doing damage control lol

  25. Great to see you reviewing a 1080p monitor
Over half pc gamers are still gaming at that resolution including me

  26. Hi PC Centric, how are you and what did you have for breakfast today?

  27. I thought your personal model was the Alienware 5k2k, not the LG version? Is there a reason you switched?

  28. you are not gaming at 1000 hertz, you are gaming at 1 kilohertz. Just like the old pentium 2 processors 25 years ago we thought 1ghz processor was SO FAST – in the future we will be gaming at 5 and 10 khz monitors and this will feel slow and laggy
