  1. I hope my local tyre shop has experience changing electric engines lol

  2. needs to be parked in the sun , no carports ,no home garage , no multi store carparks for solar changes ..

  3. will mechanics be able to repair an aptera in a fender bender? it seems like even if bumped lightly from behind it would sustain considerable damage.

  4. Can't wait !

  5. BEWARE! Aptera is nothing more than a fraudulent vaporware investment scam.

  6. Love this heaps.
    The only true Environmental Vehicles…
    Aptera and Citroen Olie.
A friend in Australia has ordered a long range. I will be interested in the rego requirements.

If you mount spotlights in the steering pods you have tuning headlights.

  7. CNET, this is what has happened since you claimed to have ridden in a solar car:
The 3 Alpha's were proven to have no solar at all on them, just fake plastic squares that looked like solar. You were duped, and they were lying. Also, they said they would build production models this year, and now they say they will merely design it. They said they would build them in 2021, and the promise you got was already broken, so you should have been more careful about promoting snake oil. Your ride in the Beta (if you even had one) was because it was the only one that could go far enough, due to a radiator that shouldn't be on any prototype. The excuse that it was to feel 3-motor power was just a red herring. You need to be more on the ball, or you promote rubbish.

  8. Only 2 passenger will disqualify it for most families.

  9. Also, does this have ANY cargo space @ all?

  10. Talk to me about tires. If you get a flat, how difficult is it to change? Do you need to have it towed to a dealer to replace? With the motor in the tire, I have concerns.

  11. WHERE IS THE 2022 PRODUCTION MODELS APTERA PROMISED????

  12. same way I know you keep moving back when it will be delivered Mr Ambassador – they never fullfill there promises – but they make plenty of videos – so where are those videos about training staff to make vehicles? You said they are doing that right? How gullible are you Bruce? You just keep accepting every stupid excuse they come up with – NO MORE EXCUSES.

  13. sleek design and great functionality. I really want one

  14. What about when the car gets in a crash it doesn't look very strong

  15. Crap – never going to be made for consumers – never.

  16. Yes. Please.

  17. I wonder how it would do in the harsh winters of Canada

  18. When production is starting !! 😘

  19. Okay so this sounds like a great car on paper but I have so many questions about it already
    1. How's the durability? from what you've shown this car is more glass than metal
    2. How do you know this car isn't going to be top heavy and just flip over at the slightest sharp turns? Most three-wheel cars and bikes suffer from this
    3. Why solar power of all things? If it ever rains for more than a week which is very likely in certain areas you're just SOL
    4. Why would you ever choose this over a regular car? Like I get it you're trying to be environmentally friendly but just buy a Tesla

No because from what I've seen from this video it ain't got good durability it looks like you could crash easily with it and the whole concept in execution just doesn't hit with me

  20. Not an EV guy and I think the car looks goofy but that price tag is very attractive. Might not be worth it in my cloudy state though

  21. I'd probably wait a few years when people have reviewed it to see if it's actually as great as it sounds. If it is then I'd definitely consider it, especially if they get that tax cut.

  22. Pretty safe vehicle, no one else but the owner and the hired mechanic would touch it!

  23. I just pre-ordered one. 0-60 in 3.5 and 1000 miles on a charge had me sold.

  24. Gotta love @ApteraMotors for what they're doing. And for under $20K you really can't beat that!

  25. It's dope to see this a real thing now… We use to talk about this as kids

  26. its nice but I want a folding out wings attachment so I can also use it as an ultralight airplane.

  27. this looks so ugly and comical lol. Ill let guinea pigs test the 1st and 2nd gen models, so I dont get stuck with a crappy lemon.

  28. I'm impressed. This is the direction that EV design needs to go. Solar range and battery pack range are optimized due to Aptera’s extremely high efficiency that uses so little energy β€” only 100 watt-hours per mile. Other EVs, like SUV’s & Trucks, use 600 – 700Wh per mile, thus requiring larger, heavier and more expensive battery packs. Makes so much sense, I just reserved one.

  29. So looking forward for this vehicle to be mass produced. I was going to buy a slingshot but having a vehicle that charges by solor power is important to me.

    Let's go Aptera

  30. outside of San Diego, where most of the nations is, there is WINTER

  31. Yes I would

  32. I have been following Aptera for at least 10 years now. I'll believe it when it really comes out.

  33. I would trade in the car I am currently paying for for one

  34. They starting at only 25k I might have to get one 🀨

  35. Batteries??? πŸ€”

  36. Exciting to see…We are getting closer to mass production from multiple companies. But these cars or what ever u wanna call them are still UGLY….I'm still waiting on the sidelines…

  37. I am so ready for this! Yes…

  38. If they made one that wasn't a 2 seater. I would be interested in buying one

  39. love everything about it! cant wait to see this hit the market!

  40. 3.5secs for 0-60mph??? thats fast! and its very affordable, only problem could be maintenance?

  41. This might be fine for someone that lives in a city…..20 miles to work?! Really?! Try 50 to 60 miles to work and then running around during the day, then lunch, then 50 to 60 miles back home.

  42. I have one on order. Can't wait! I went with the full solar and 3 motor package. I just want to blow away my friends Camaro off the line! Oh and not have to pay for gasoline…..

  43. I want to buy one.
